He definitely has a strong cult following, though. In addition to Treasure (my numero uno favorite film of all time, BTW), he was Edgar Rice Burrough's favorite actor to play Tarzan, appeared in some of the best serials, and did a number of good B-Westerns. He even managed to preserve his dignity when he made The Alligator People. But if you were to ask him, he would probably say that his greatest acheivement wasn't his work in film or the Olympics, but his marriage to his wife which lasted sixty-seven years-a Hollywood record?
