We thank you, you who volunteer
To join the military to protect
what's here...
The Constitution, the Rule of law,
Our way of freedom loved by all
In this wondrous land of ours
Whose Stars and Stripes flow freely
O’er the land, whose seas are free,
Don’t tread on us... we are too, proud
To let you turn us into dust!

We appreciate your bravery, your valor,
Your honor, your gallantry,
Thank You for all you do.
And let Freedom ring the whole world through.

The price that's paid for freedom made
an entire family terribly sad.
A nation must know the price that's paid
of blood, of tears, of love,
greater than any made
a life for freedom paid.

May our gracious God touch the hearts
and ease their pain.
Their loved one did not die in vain...
A Hero walks tall in a lofty land
of peace and will be forever young,
In the Mansions of the Lord.

Military Spouse Appreciation Day - May 6, 2005

President Ronald Reagan proclaimed Military Spouse Appreciation Day in 1984. The official celebration date has been designated as the Friday before Mother's Day each year. This year we will recognize and applaud the efforts of military spouses on May 6, 2005.
