Saying, "We cannot wait any longer for the feds to get the job done," state Assemblyman Ray Haynes, R-Murrieta, called Wednesday for the formation of a state police force to patrol California's border with Mexico.

The announcement came as Haynes sent the initial draft of the "California Border Police Initiative" to the state attorney general's office Wednesday, a first step toward getting the measure on the ballot in June 2006.

Yes! And get the California National Guard and the US Military down there as well.

Wow! People are finally starting to wake up and smell the coffee!

The fence in much of San Diego County is made of rusty surplus runway matting, 8' high. It's a great help to the smugglers and coyotes, since they can move their drugs and groups of illegals to their jump over spots, out of sight of the Border Patrol.

The border travels in a straight line, up and down rolling hills. The smugglers employ spotters to observe the Border Patrol's white SUVs. When they drive over a distant hill a mile or three away, the word goes out, and the smugglers and illegals hop over the fence, and run a few hundred feet into brush, canyons, or even residential neighborhoods, knowing the Border Patrol will not be back for an hour or two.

"On Wednesday, immigrant advocate and UC Riverside Professor Armando Navarro slammed Haynes' proposed initiative as just one more sign of a growing tide of racism in the United States. Navarro in April traveled to Arizona and Mexico to lead protests against the Minuteman Project,

"The Latino community in this country is under siege," Navarro said. "They are proposing creating a police state. Every reactionary movement needs a scapegoat."

Haynes bristled at the allegation. "It's not racist to enforce our laws," he said.

The racists are those who exploit illegal immigrants, transporting them or hiring them at less than minimum wage, he added."

(Good definition of who the REAL racists are)...

Just because poking the bear is fun. I must ask the question. Does out of control immigration count as an invasion? If it does, California could then go to war against Mexico to stop it. If it does not count, then the courts just might squish the whole thing like a bug.

Section. 10.

Clause 3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Yes, it's an invasion supported by the Mex gov, and an act of war.

If it's an invasion, it's an invasion supported by the national governments of both countries. Can it be an act of war if the invasion is by invitation? ;-)

Navarro is an agent of the corrupt Mexican government.

There is as much chance the CA. state legislature is going to put this on the ballot as I am going to be as rich as Bill Gates.
