Stop yelling at me! ;^)
Lets think about it here, empathy, emphasis and emotion. Seems there's something in common.
'Feed-up middleground'??
Okey-dokey...
When I first got on FR I knew no html. and used to CAPTITALIZE where I now would italicize.
In retrospect, I'm sure I had other posters covering their ears, and who probably to this day, picture me as always screaming, LOL!
In general, all the various segments of FR seem to have a fault which turns the other segments off. It might be their extreme opinions, tactics, emotionalism, strategy, lack of strategy and the list goes on and on. We are fortunate that Jim Rob is more tolerant of all of us than we may be of one another.
Got that right, amigo.
That's amiga.
I stand corrected, amiga.
"ROTFL! Let's hear those established facts (not innuendo and supposition)."
Attention Ms. Culture of Death (AKA "ContraryMary") there was plenty of evidence--anectodal and medical--that Terri was abused before she fell ill; unless you think it was the Tooth Fairy who did it, I'm guessing it was hubby. As for the ROTFL--if I had my way you'd be ROTF all over shards of broken glass. People like you deserve no less. As for Michael Schiavo, he joins OJ Simpson, Robert Blake, Claus von Bulow* and Henry VIII, King of England in the "I murdered my wife and got away with it club."
*Sunny von Bulow survived Claus' attempt to kill her, but she is now a "gork", stashed away in some hosiptal in Rhode Island IIRC, and Claus has now remarried, with his ex-wife's fortune to do with as he sees fit; much as Michael Schiavo is doing with his late wife's settlement and insurance money.
Keep going Veronica. There's some monsters on this site
"Alamo, 911 or Pearl Harbor"
In a way, the Sciavo case approaches these events (with one big difference) and here is why:
The Alamo, 911 and Pearl Harbor illustrated the nature of external threats (Mexican threat to westward expansion, Islamic fundamentalism and Japanese imperialism). The Schiavo case illustrated a different threat--a domestic threat--the threat of judicial tyranny against a free people and its freely elected lawmakers. If the coward Jeb Bush had the fortitude to rescue Terri from her tormetors, it would have respresented the not only life and freedom from her tormentors for Terri, but freedom for the American people from its tormentors, namely an all powerful, uncontrollable unaccountable judiciary. It would have been the "Lexington" of a second American Revolution. As for Pope Benedict, if he really did behave in this manner re. Terri, it is unworthy of his high office. As a devout Roman Catholic, I believe there is evidence enough to support Terri's beatification--at least. Here is why;
1. She underwent mortification of the flesh.
2. By all accounts she was a devout Roman Catholic.
3. After she took ill, she lived in a state of virtue and freedom from sin for 15 years! How many of us could remain in such a state for 1 week, let alone 15 years.
4. She was martyred.
5. She lasted 15 days without food or water--this is a miracle comparable to that of the Chanukah story (a miniscule amount of oil burning for 8 days) of the Book of Maccabes.
