For decades, Wichita, Kan., police received communications from the BTK killer (search), including letters and poems. Now the man charged with those murders has been spending long hours in his jail cell writing to people he knows.
"His public defender is probably pouring his heart and soul into this case," said Denver criminal defense attorney Daniel Recht (search), "only to be sabotaged by his client."
FOX News has obtained two poems said to have been written by Dennis Rader (search). A fellow inmate said Rader gave them to him after they became friends in jail.
There's one about the springtime Rader has been missing because he's in jail. The other is called "Black Friday."
It could be referring to Friday, Feb. 25. That's the day Rader was arrested by BTK investigators....
"I saw the Black Side of me was now caught And others would not suffer from my loss."
Later on, the poem reads:
"Yes the other in me will cause no suffering... And the real me of blood, flesh and mind will suffer."
The poem is signed "The Suspect..."

The guy obviously is mentally psycho in addition just being a cold-blooded murderer, or he could be making this up for an insanity defense. He seems to think he is possessed or something.
But, the big news is he admits guilt...
bump
This is good news and should be worth a chapbook collection for some fine liberal publisher.
I don't know how much news it will make locally since FNC received the poems, but hopefully it will make some news.
It should make some news. It depends on how much they want to push it and what else is "more important" to Fox.
How touching. He'll get top billing on those inmate pen pal pages, along with "Mumia" as a "poet". Oh, maybe not. He's not black like Mumia, so the left will take a couple points off for that.

Thank you, Henry Wadsworth Deathmerchant.
LMAO.....Awesome !
lol!
I don't care if he's writing his will, in his diary, or his suicide note.....I just want him gone from society.
That's true, but I don't think he's psychotic - he's a sociopath, for whom nothing exists but his own desires and wish to feel powerful. I have no idea why killing people made him feel good, and frankly, I don't care. But he knew what he was doing and he's not psychotic.
Get rid of him. Sociopaths don't heal. There's no drug that suppresses this.
Now that's a bad sign.
People who count syllables
have mental problems.
If the syllables don't fit, you must acquit. If the lines don't rhyme, he must do time.
Once there is a confession and all doubt removed as to who committed the crimes, what else is there to report for the time being?
In this awful film
(with Denise Richards!) a girl
gets a note that reads:
"Rose are red
Violets are blue
They'll need dental records
To identify you!"
