Democratic National Committee (DNC) fund raising under the chairmanship of Howard Dean shows a disappointing $16.7 million raised in the first quarter of 2005, compared with $34 million reported by the Republicans.
That tends to confirm dire predictions by old-line Democratic fund-raisers of a fall-off in money if Dean became chairman.
He had promised to bring in heavy individual contributions, as he did in his 2004 campaign for president.
But the DNC in the first quarter received only $13 million from individuals, compared to $31 million for the Republican National Committee (RNC).
A footnote: A recent DNC fund-raising appeal promised to send field workers to North Carolina, which does not have a major statewide election until 2008.
Another indication of Dumbocrats dead-ending into oblivion.
Idea: Why don't Dean and Dims push Hillary for president, and really show their stupidity.
Howard Dean opens evil mouth. Normal people flee.
The Dems always provide excuses for why they lose. All except the real reason of course. DNC fundraising is off because the Dems have nothing to offer..
How much money has Hillary taken in during the same period? Maybe the money is no longer going thru the DNC, but directly to Hillary, or thru other channels to the Dems.
The avaricious Clintons suck the oxygen out of the rat party. Not that this is a bad thing.
It's a cultural thing. All those TRIAL LAWYERS just can't bring themselves to give mone TO a Doctor.
Yes, it is upsetting that the first physician in national life has to be that lunatic Dean. Where are all the irate MD Republicans?
Reminiscent of the Know-Nothing Party ---- but with a radical pro-abortion, anti-life agenda that is its ruination.

"We're ready for you, Dr Dean. Now get off your little donkey, and go home."
Heheh....nice insight...not far from the truth.
What do they have to worry about? Soros and other billionaires are going to give them half a billion dollars.
Whew, that is a relief.

Official pinup.
Democratic Party fundraising frequently falls behind the Republicans' efforts. What then happens is that the unions are kicked heavily by the Democratic fund guys.
You remember, FOfL-CIO, NEA, Teamsters, etc.
Some people never learn.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." - Hillary Rodham Clinton June 2004"
Yes..yes your royal Hillariness.... Whats mine is yours...
May I now have a little cake to eat... my queen?
The whole point of the "Clintonistas" enabling Dean to become DNC Chairman is to show the fellow Democrats that only their hand picked people are "rainmakers" who can bring in the cash, and run a quality campaign. Letting Dean in shows that the Democrats are not "the party of Clinton", and that it was not Bill and Hill's collective fault that things haven't gone well in the last 3 elections. Dean will soon be ousted, and a Terry McAuliffe clone will replace him (Harold Ickes?).
I'm sure Michael Moore will make up for it with his personal savings.
"How much money has Hillary taken in during the same period? Maybe the money is no longer going thru the DNC, but directly to Hillary, or thru other channels to the Dems."
That is EXACTLY what is going on. Hillary's warchest is well over 100 million. The Clintons never cared about the congress/senate/SCOTUS or anything else. They care about the power of the Presidency.
This is why it is critical that NY fields a strong senatorial candidate. They need to deplete Hillary's war chest. Which means Rudy.
Three Hearts and Three Lions.
Great book.
Frist is a heart surgeon. He goes to Africa every year to donate his services.
He's in Nat'l politics more than Dean is.
Dean is just a sacrificial lamb. He will be found incompetent and dumped, replaced by a more Clinton friendly insider.
2004 was an election year, 2005 is not. How much Soros money got laundered as individual contributions in 2004? Look at the revelations by Peter Paul and the Rosen flap. The crooked Dems know how to play the game and they will find ways to get illegal money in the game again in 2004 and 2008.
Good one!
Frist is a gentleman. He is TOO nice to threats.
IOW, he is ineffective. DeLay might not be a "gentleman", but he *is* effective. I'll take that any day.
