I'm kind of curious about this myself. I have quite a bit of money stashed in my bank back in the US and for the most part, I don't need to touch it right now, but there have been a few times when I've had to make a trip to the Bank of China to pull some of it out at the ATM.

Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R.& D. facilities outside the US in Israel...
