Amen. While I am normally dismissive of anti-trust suits, getting a whole industry to fix laws in certain states to restrict competition is exactly the kind of action that should be taken in an anti-trust case. Realtors in Kentucky and Oklahoma, and elsewhere, have passed laws to restrict competition.

Six Percent is way too much to earn for home sale transactions. It amounts to thousands and thousands of dollars without putting a lot of effort into the transaction. In these days of the internet, it's time to let the market decide prices, not a cartel protected by state laws.

IF the US Gub'mint is interested in anti-trust issues, let 'em go after the biggest scamming monopoly EVER -- the education monopoly of the NEA and public school system industry....

Oh, that's right -- the Gub'mint won't sue another branch of...THE GUB'MINT!

You obviously haven't THE foggiest idea.

As a realtor, I can tell you the difference between an amateur and professional will literally cost a buyer or seller thousands of dollars.

"Effort"? You sometimes MUST pay for knowledge and experience -- just as with any specialist.

If you don't mind getting what you pay for, go to Foxtons or some other discount backend of a horse's behind. You won't know what hit you until closing when your reaction is, "D'OH!"

I just sold my house and the realtors got $32,000. And that wasn't even six percent. For what they do...HIGHWAY ROBBERY, although I wouldn't want to do all the paperwork, I really don't think it should cost that much.
