So, in the world envisioned by Senator Cedillo, an American citizen found driving without a license and insurance gets his ticket and loses his car for a month, then gets fined $100-$200 for having no insurance. But the illegal immigrant stopped for the exact same offenses gets a ticket, but drives off with a friendly Buenos dias, amigo from Officer Dunphy, followed by a slap on the wrist from the judge in traffic court.

AMAZING........

God bless 'Jack Dunphy'! Being a great fan of his columns, I sincerely hope that he has been able to impart some of his accumulated wisdom to the younger officers on the force - including my brother.

Not only that, they never show up to pay the"fines", and those that have managed to get drivers licenses, only get insurance for 30 days, let it lapse and move on. Cedillo should go to Mexico and legislate from there, seeing that he has no interest in representing the legal citizens of California. It's amazing that Cedillo and other illegal activist have no regard for the laws. Might as well let all the teenagers drive without licenses and save some money on high insurance rates.

A Ping for CA state senator Cedillo who was once known as "One Bill Gil". He's branching out and introducing more ludicrous legislation.

What we need to have happen is have EVERYONE stopped claim they are illegal. Claim you have no license or insurance, give a phony address. That will force the issue.

Lowell Ponte, FrontPageMagazine.com, September 10, 2003:
When once asked why he believed illegal aliens should be allowed to remain in the
United States, then-California Assemblyman Cedillo replied: “They were here first.”

There's a saying in Calif referred to as the "3 No's": no license, no registration and no insurance.
