ATLANTA — Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks, whose three-day disappearance led to a nationwide search and more than a week of tabloid headlines, has entered a medical treatment program.
The location of the program and its likely duration were not disclosed.
Wilbanks "entered a highly regarded, inpatient treatment program on her own volition to address physical and mental issues that, she believes, played a major role in her 'running from herself,' as she described in a public statement last week," family spokesman Sammy Smith wrote in an e-mail.
Wilbanks initially told investigators that she had been abducted, a story that quickly unraveled once she surfaced in Albuquerque, N.M.
The 34-year-old bride-to-be has said that she did not flee from her 600-guest wedding because of cold feet, but rather due to "a host of compelling issues, which seemed out of control."
Meanwhile, the father of Wilbanks' fiance thanked the city of Duluth, of which he was once mayor, for its time and effort spent looking for Wilbanks when she vanished four days before the wedding.

Here's my take:
The shoplifting is a sign of food issues, her look (face and weight) implies binging and purging.
The fear of marriage is that the man will find out, as it's easy to hide clandestine throwing-up until you live with the person.
The sexual issues are another clue, as often food issues come from childhood sexual abuse, and her desire for celabicy is a strong clue that there is a sexual issue in her past.
She obviously needs help, TALK about hitting bottom!?

Which is exactly whi she will be exalted and lauded in the media. Somewhere, somebody is thinking about a book deal, a movie, action figures, star on the walk of fame, the weirder, more obscure and out of touch with reality, the better.

I would like to commend her fiance on behalf of all males out there. Thank you, yes, thank you for taking this whacked out nutjob off of the market and sparing some other poor guy the potential misery of marrying this, this, bugeyed Kermit the Frog look-a-like.
The groom to be was the one who was a "reformed virgin" and withholding sexual activity before the wedding date, not her.
all that being said in my previous post, I do agree, she has issues and needs some professional help.
