Not only that, but kosher delis must carry ham & cheese sandwiches! :-)

The media sure has twisted it though, I think it was originally reported as "pharmacist refuses to fill birth control prescription", or some such nonsense.

I don't care what they call it, it boils down to the same thing. Walgreens and the law allow for pharmacists to refuse to fill any prescription. I like that. Let 'em shop elsewhere.

Right now, I'm getting a kick out of watching the police-state hardliners in our midst.

A mother of six claims a pharmacist refused to fill her prescription for an emergency contraceptive and berated her as a baby-killer, leaving her so traumatized she didn't seek out another pharmacist and ended up having an abortion.

Hmmm. The MSM is all in a tizzy over the "traumatizing" effect of calling someone a "baby-killer", huh? Well, they didn't seem too concerned about the effects of this type of behavior on our soldiers returning from Vietnam, now did they? Of course, most of them were probably drugged out hippies doing the spittin' and name calling back then!

I take therefore, you would agree that Catholic Hospitals must provide abortions as part of their public services.

Yep. In order to do any profession, you must provide whatever service the ACLU says you should.

I'm missing your point.

Doctors DON'T have to provide abortions on demand. My doctor refers those patients elsewhere.

I think it's moronic to believe that someone can make you do something you don't want to.

He's a Pharmacist and shouldn't refuse a prescription based on moral grounds. I am not at all for abortions and I do think they're wrong, but the woman was asking for a legal prescription and as a Pharmacist, he should provide, it's his job. If he has a problem with the kinds of drugs he might be required to dispense, then he shouldn't be in the business of dispensing drugs!

You might find This interesting.

But what is scary, it is all in the name of making it easier to kill babies.

But what if they already spent 6 years in school studying to be a pharmacist? Should they instead have to go to work somewhere else making much less, after having spend so much time and money going through pharmacy school?

I have an older cousin who is a pharmacist right now and my younger sister will enter college in the fall studying to be a pharmacist. Should they have to hand out RU-486 as well, the infamous abortion pill?

BC pills or the morning after pill - in the beliefs of many these both cause abortion. A pharmacist can refuse to fil either of these on ethical grounds.

The media sure has twisted it though, I think it was originally reported as "pharmacist refuses to fill birth control prescription", or some such nonsense.

There have been several of these cases lately, and the media always tries to twist them into being about birth control, when the real issue here is abortion pills.

There was a recent story about a Wisconsin pharmacist who refused to fill a script for birth control pills, not to be confused with 'emergency contraceptive.'

The pharmacist crossed the line,'' said Tricia Knight, the attorney for the woman.

The PHARMACIST crossed the line??? Welcome to the world of moral relativism.

Yes, that's bad all right.

Aside from the right-to-life debate, it seems they're all too willing to throw away the free enterprise system. And, for what? Some alleged "right" to healthcare?

You stated you did not want a police state but than called for one with your comment.

I guess you do not believe in freedom of religion?

I knew my first semester as a Psych major that it wasn't the right path for me.

I didn't want to HELP them, instead I majored in Criminal Justice and now aid in putting them AWAY.

If you can't handle all aspects of the job going into it you should change paths while you can. It's the mature thing to do.

Sometimes the story is about birth control pills.

If at first you don't succeed, quit. Great advice.

Quit??? Who in the world suggested that? I said CHANGE PATHS. If you consider quitting one of your paths, I'm sorry for you.
