Arrests sought in election fraud (Milwaukee)
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | 5/12/2005 | Derrick Nunnaly and Greg J Borowski

Two arrest warrants were issued Wednesday alleging election fraud by two voter-registration workers employed last year to sign up new voters.

According to warrants filed by the Milwaukee County district attorney's office, Urelene Lilly, 48, and Marcus L. Lewis, 23, both admitted to authorities that they filled out multiple voter-registration cards using fictitious information to earn money from Project Vote, which paid workers such as them $40 per day plus $1.75 for each registration above the daily quota of 24 new voters....

Lilly and Lewis were charged with five felonies each: three counts of forgery, one count of election fraud and one count of misconduct in public office, because they had been sworn in as deputy voter registrars for the registration effort. If convicted as charged, each could face a maximum possible sentence of 25 years in prison.

And all this will lead to nothing. Just as all the voter fraud that was documented last fall here on FR led nowhere.

Like I said with the "Bad News" section,....

The GOTV fraud was well-documented by talk radio, FR and blogs nearly 2 months before the election.

The main benefit here has already been realized. It makes no difference at all whether a few little rats go to jail or not. The victory is that the old msm felt compelled to pile on the rat voter fraud operation and this will provide a chilling effect for future rat voter fraud operations.

Hate to disagree, but we went through this in 2000 (smokes-for-votes, multiple voting, felons voting) and 2002 (kringles for votes, the first publicity of fraudulent vote registration drives). With one slap on the wrist resulting from that, we got worse in 2004.

I can't tell from the article whether any of these "registered voters" actually voted. Has that been revealed?

The preliminary report released the other day said that the "over 65" fraudulent registrations weren't matched up with any votes. Since the number registered by these 2 cons were somewhere north of 80 (75 from one, numerous from the other), I don't know if these "registered voters" were covered by that statement.

Also, with the records in such a shambles (also mentioned in that report and the focus of Washburn's World), that may never be known.

Nothing to see here, Steve, no voter fraud...move on! LOL!

I am wondering, though, if the actual proof of voter fraud we've seen in the last day or so will change Doyle's veto when the voter i.d. bill makes it to his desk...AGAIN!

Craps made his calculations in 2002 (remember Kringles-for-votes?); he'll continue to push his meaningless, just-for-show "reforms" while gearing up for a level of fraud in 2006 that will make 2000, 2002 and 2004 seem like honest, fair elections.

Speaking of "nothing to see here" (where's the Chinese fireworks factory blowing up in the background <VBG>?), is there any news on the Racine charges against Project Vote?

Until vote fraud is prosecuted as a violation of civil rights, as it shoul be, nothing will get done. Checked Pants Republican from the Country Club think that this is a losing issue because democrats calls a whole slew of names anytime they complain about it.

Haven't heard anything recently, but I'm confident our DA will do everything he can given the evidence...unlike McCan't!

Agreed. Window dressing.

But what I really want to know is....what party affiliation were these registrants given? And what party affiliation are the perps? It is never reported in any story on this subject I have ever read.
