I had some of these thoughts, in a minor way...

I'm glad you got better. :-)

Yeah, DU is a very amusing place.

All that had to happen for me to get better was for the Republicans to take control, now if they will just act like they are in control. ;9)

"Consistent with your groupthink assessment of the far left is the fact that I frequently see posts on DU asking "what position are we supposed to take" on some issue or another. Example: During the Christmas season, an obviously young DUer posted an objection to Target Store's refusal to allow Salvation Army bell ringers outside their stores. He howled about the nasty corporation's insensitivity. He was quickly "corrected" by more experienced DUers when they pointed out that the Salvation Army doesn't like to hire gays. Getting even with the Salvation Army trumped the good they do with the donated money and junior needed to get his mind right about that. He apologized......"

...in stupid accordance with Karl Marx's tenet for using "willing fools"! The Salvation Army is one of few credible charity and service orgs. It seems the SA is wise in their rejection of homosexual employees because I don't wonder homosexual activists would fully infiltrate, then dominate the SA and use it as an intrument for their nefarious agenda against what they refer to as the "heterosexual dictatorship".

Early on, "Gay" activism aggressively took sinister turns toward persecutions (e.g., Dr. Laura) and violations of civil rights by being designated *privileged* victims of "hate crimes." Their activism engages in petty protests against the rights of private individuals and entities to discriminate. What is most contemptible in homosexual "rights" activism is the evil intrusion of homosexual orientation into public schools' curricula. (Ref: Mass - "Fistgate")

"Liberals" supporting the "Gay" liberation movement are brainwashed spawns furthering Marxist class warfare mandates. Also, Hitler and the Nazi party pandered to "obermasculine" homosexual class by forming the infamous Stormtroopers. Once in power, Hitler outlawed homosexuality.

Ref: The Rainbow Swastika - Nazism and the New Age
... to a political schemer.] The Nazi sacred symbols and concepts ... on adopting "warrior" or super-masculine homosexuality. The ... occult powers with subtle homosexual or anti-heterosexual attitudes ...

***"At the present stage, the period of building socialism, the classes, strata and social groups which favour, support and work for the cause of socialist construction all come within the category of the people, while the social forces and groups which resist the socialist revolution and are hostile to or sabotage socialist construction are enemies of the people." -Mao Zedong, Communist Leader China

"I've known this one ultra liberal family for 30 years or more. Mental illness big time, 2 brothers with bi-polar, mom was bi-polar, third brother is questionable, one of the two sisters is pretty screwed up also. Sadly 1/2 the kids of the next generation already show symptoms. I'm convinced that when people are this far left it really is mental illness, I've never met a lib, whom I got to know, that wasn't a mess upstairs. And it's not prozac thats needed to treat it, try Lithium or the modern equivalent."

"Liberals" manifested hatred speaks for itself - unresolved angst pollutes their minds. I've tried to understand what is apparently group mania among the left. I find Dr. John J. Ray's Blog "Dissecting Leftism" helpful.

I believe I read somewhere that "liberal" columnist Michael Kingsley warbled his swan-song recently. He's neurotic as hell.

The Left have been destroying the foundations of Western Civilization and corrupting the Western Tradition for hundreds of years and yet cannot see that they are the ones digging the hole.

"As brian tracy says, you don't believe what you see, you see what you believe. Sites like DU, and to a lesser degree, Freerepublic, feed on and nurture paranoia."

There is a clinical difference between suffering from paranoia because of a perceived oppressive socio-political environment and that of being acutely alert to the realities of an adverse socio-political environment. The former is based on self-punishing delusion; the latter on realistic assessment.

There will be a revolt. A peasant's revolt.

..it's historically inevitable.......

And it is now in progress. The Mexican peasants are leaving home and coming to America having all of Mexico they can stand.
