I think that is very cute that the girls you mentioned wanted to show themselves, all dressed up, to their co-workers - that shows that they enjoy the people they work with!
My daughter attended three proms in High School and always managed to find a beautiful dress that looked very nice on her and very tasteful - Rush has seen the pictures and I'm sure would testify that she never looked like she should have been on a street corner! lol

What do they serve in the cafeteria at that school? They need to lighten up the menu a bit........

I bet the Drag Queens they stole those dresses from are mad.

Not formal enough! If I had a daughter, no way I would allow her to go to the prom dressed like Paris Hilton. I mean the "skank" look is all the rage these days but at some functions a woman ought to be dressed in a manner befitting a lady. And a prom is one of them where every one knows the expected dress protocol - very formal - gowns for the girls and tuxedos for the boys. Its just etiquette and its too bad our society has gotten too lazy or stupid to demand people look their best at life's key events.

Dad, on seeing his daughter in a revealing outfit: "Honey, you're not wearing that out of the house."
Daughter, whining: "But daddy, I made it myself." Dad: "Yeah, now go back upstairs and make the rest of it."

Looks like their mamas let them shop from the "Ho's R Us" catalog. Good for the school officials who sent them home.

I really like the last dress. Gorgeous and dressy and all comporting a beautiful lady. Now guys may be sexually drawn to skank but its not someone they respect or want to hang out with as a friend. Men want to marry a woman who has standards and respects herself. 'Nuff said.

"Thanks a lot Joe." Curiously, I always receive many expressions of gratitude when I post that photo. So many people seem to really appreciate it, so I post it as often as possible...;-)

Great. Now I can't get the Donna Summer song "Bad Girls" out of my head.

Pictures please:')
Yeah. The older workers seemed very proud of them too. It's one of those blink as you go by and you miss it towns where everyone knows everyone. I do think those other two girls are pretty too though. If someone photo-shopped them in classier clothing I expect they would look just fine. The dresses are what makes them look bad.

I'm mesmerized by the tattoo work.

So, are they going to have a Civil War Prom? ;) Isn't that dress from about then? 1860's?
It's gorgeous.

I hate to say it, but that just LOOKS like the wrong side of Cedartown (you know, trying to be Big City and just not quite making the grade . . . )
Cedartown is a tiny little place WNW of Atlanta and SW of Rome - county seat of Polk County, last county before Alabama.

I don't know; pinched the photo from Google images. Another poster said it was from around 1870 & it was an afternoon dress or walking costume. The dress doesn't look like it would allow for much of a stride--maybe they teetered in the afternoon? Several posters have commented that they liked it; I'm still scratching my head over the positive comments.
