A close personal friend of Bill Clinton is expected to plead guilty to charges that he defrauded the Chicago public school system, according to Crain's Chicago Business, which reported the development on its Web site Friday.
Jim Levin, who once owned the Chicago strip club Thee Dollhouse, acknowledged Thursday during testimony delivered at the trial of Hillary Clinton's finance director David Rosen that he had struck a deal with prosecutors within the last two weeks.
Levin, however, did not offer details. But according to Crain's, Chicago school officials have alleged that companies controlled by Levin over-billed schools for snow plowing services.
The allegations include charges that the Clinton friend, along with four minority subcontractors, accepted money for work they did not perform.
In 2000, then-President Clinton identified Mr. Levin as his personal friend, explaining at a New Jersey fund-raiser: "He wasn't particularly political before I became president [but] we got to be very close."
After running a Chicago strip club in the 1990s, Levin became an executive for Tru-Link Fence Company. Like Rosen, he helped raise funds for Mrs. Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign.
U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald declined to confirm the Clinton crony's plea, with a spokesman saying only, "There’s nothing that’s a matter of public record.”
But Levin himself confirmed that he had some sort of agreement with the feds, telling a lawyer for Rosen who questioned his veracity on Thursday, "If I do not tell the truth, there is no deal. I'm here to tell the truth."
The Chicago businessman spent at least two nights at the White House during the Clintons' last year in office, after pledging to donate $1 million to Clinton's presidential library.
As part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Levin has turned state's evidence against Rosen. The one-time strip bar proprietor testified Thursday that Rosen had confided to him that he intended to cover up the costs of an August 2000 gala fund-raiser for Mrs. Clinton.

On small vacation (hey, I'll take the 3 days off if I can get it) I was in Hot Springs.
Where slick Willy spent much of his school day youth.
Talked to some old locals who owned a company that had some spa and hotel interests. they had been there for years.
Learned some things about the Clintons. FIRST...CLINTON NEVER LIVED THE LIFE OF A POOR BOY....as the media tried to claim...and as many of us figured different.
The house that we lived in first ...in Hope...well...yeah...now it looks old...BACK THEN...it was a very nice home. His family owned a store.
Then is mom married a very smooth car dealer. Who did real well.
He had some auto interests...then they moved to Hot Springs starting in Willy's formative years

They moved into a home that his sfather's uncle owned. Pretty nice. Nice yard. On the edge of a scenic area.
There is now a liquor store across the street. And a sign in the yard that mentions that some different folks live there now...so please don't walk beyond a little barrier line.
His uncle owned, what was then, one of the more lucrative car lots in that part of the state.
It was also an old hang out for the old fat cats. They would play poker...shoot the squat..etc.
(Remember this....it comes into play)
Well, in high school.....Willy drove around in nice cars. Some rag top slide downs..etc. Hanging out at a local country club.
AND HE HUNG OUT A LOT AT THE CAR DEALERSHIP.
Where he would chat with the fat cats.
OK...Clinton was in Hot Springs at the tail end of some interesting years for that area.
For years...folks like Capone would go there and used the springs/spas.
There was still a contingent of shady types that would frequent Hot Springs when he was in high school.
According to the locals.......some of them hung out at the car dealership.
I went up in that tower they have there. And there is a film they run about Clinton. Talks about his homes, family, the car dealership...etc.
So the locals sound legit.
And if some shady folks were hanging out there.....and Willy was in awe of it all....
Well......the rest, as they say, is interns and investigations.

And...there is the issue of the 'snow plow' business that got busted for overcharging schools.

Personally, I'd love to see the full list - accurate, not exaggerated or anything and NOT counting people who were not legitimately CLOSE Clinton associates - with exact relationship, crime or shady dealing accused of, things admitted to, time served, and so forth.
NEVER, since the Clintons are the spiders that built the web that keeps their "friends" from turning on them. In other words, the Clintons have corrupted everyone ever involved with them. Once corrupted they know too much on their "friends" and they will never turn on the Clintons. Ask Web Hubbell and Susan McDougal. Web was one of the Clintons closest "friends" and business partners. He didn't even get a pardon and he spend time in PRISON because of them. All he had to do was spill his guts and he could have walked away. Web Hubbell and his family are ruined, disgraced and hate the Clintons with a passion (a little late). They knew how corrupt the Clintons were and are and still took the fall for them. Look who got punished and look who walked away with millions in book deals and one in a higher elected office.
I do remember the phone call of hubble to his wife...telling her that he guessed that he'd "have to roll over again" for the clintons.
We all have access to KNOW that--we have HEARD the actual conversation--yet the liberals still follow the clintons into the depths of the sewer.

Clinton's "life story" is as fictitious as he his today.
Bill Clinton's mother, Virginia Cassidy Blythe, moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to study nursing. Bill Clinton stayed with his mother's parents in Hope.
Eldridge and Edith Cassidy owned a small grocery store just outside of Hope.
His mother returned from New Orleans with her nursing degree in 1950, when her son was four years old. Later that same year, she married an automobile salesman named Roger Clinton. When Bill Clinton was seven years old, the family moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas.
I don't know right off, Luke, but maybe Alamo Girl would know. She compiled vast amounts of information on the Clintons - back in the "olden days."

Been asking myself that same question for years now and I'm about resigned to believe it won't happen in their lifetime or mine.

This is what happens when an non-Democratic machine approved District Attorney is appointed. we'll see if they can gather enough evidence over the next 3 years. However, if the next President is a Democrat, we could see a replay of the Clinton clean sweep on day 1 after the inaugaration.

yeah...his family....grandfolks had that store in hope...and, according to the history tape in that tower......they say he hung out there.
They did talk about his mom...going to New Orleans.
However...they said she was a nurse . But they did not mention teh law suit.
They mention her studying in Nawlins.
That's one thing I had wondered....did she take him to Nawlins or did he stay with his grandparents that whole time.

The tape that they show in the tower makes it sound like the uncle was his stepfather's brother. So I guess he was a Clinton too.
There is a lot of interesting things that have gone on in Hot Springs.
From what I saw and heard that weekend....the stories of Capone having escape tunnels out of some of the hotels, as to dodge the law, are mainly just folklore.
But I guess those tunnels could have been covered though.
