WOMEN WHO HAVE ABORTIONS AGAIN AND AGAIN
The Drudge Report ^ | 15 may 2005 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 05/16/2005 1:39:14 PM PDT by Mark in the Old South

A dramatic rise in repeat abortions has reinforced fears that women are increasingly having terminations for lifestyle reasons.

One in three abortions is now carried out on women who have had at least one before. London's DAILY MAIL reports on Monday.

MORE

Figures from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service suggest that women who become pregnant at university or at the start of their careers see abortion as a means of delaying motherhood.

Women between 20 and 24 have taken over from teenagers as the largest age group to have terminations-while only one in 100 abortions is carried out solely because of a medical risk to the baby.

It was revealed that one woman from London had six abortions in just 12 months!

The last stats I read stated that only about 4% of all abortions are for rape, incest, and the mother's health combined. This would indicate that roughly 96% are nothing more than post-conception birth control.

Not just birth rates for the native population. There are those in this country who will always put their creature comfort first and foremost and complain about your or my moralizing. You see it here among conservatives just about as much as among dims. Some think abortion should take a back seat to Social Security Reform. There is no reform that will keep up with a dwindling population of workers supporting the retired population. 2 young and low pay workers will not always tolerate supporting an elderly person who is far better off then the people who support them.

If you want to fix SS than you have to factor in the wage earning population.

You're right. It's not news that women use abortion as a method for birth control. Sick, sick, sick.

Delaying childbearing is a lifestyle choice. Running your life in such a way that you can't be bothered to have an IUD stuck in once, but then have 6 abortions in 12 months, has nothing to do with choice. Women who do this are totally out of control, with their lives running on impulse alone (fueled by plenty of alcohol and drugs, no doubt). I'd hate to think what kind of mothers they'd make.

I also worked in a pregnancy counseling center. There were those who had had several abortions. Some were so callous and jaded that they just didn't care. I don't necessarily think it is a mental illness. Most are destroyed after having only one.

My question is: If you can afford that many abortions why can't you afford to have your tubes tied? Oh, you want kids some day. Then will you tell your kids about their brothers/sisters that you didn't want?

And not every woman who is raped sees the need to kill a baby.

"...from Islamic countries..."

who do not use contraception. 7, 8, 13 children by age 35 are not uncommon, even here in the US, among such immigrants.

You're looking at this all wrong. Would you WANT offspring from such a woman?

What's the thought process behind this?

The same thought process that starved Terri Schiavo because she might choke if fed by mouth.

There is no doubt that this woman is a disgusting slut who uses abortion as birth control. She should be thrown into a hospital for the criminally insane until she learns how not to be a filthy pig whore.I could only imagine how much of a skank this cheap five dollar whore is.

One in three abortions is now carried out on women who have had at least one before. London's DAILY MAIL reports on Monday.

The corresponding figure in the US has been closer to two in five. Repetition of destructive and harmful behavior is characteristic of individuals who have been traumatized by their own aggressive acts.

It is frequently accompanied by deterioration of interpersonal relationships and loss of emotional well-being, including numbing out of normal emotions in general. Often all that remains is bitterness and anger, and externalization of blame.

For most of human history, delaying marriage was "a means of delaying motherhood."

Is it just me, or is this a perfect description of all Democrats since Bush defeated Kerry?

this is if these women can become mothers at all. In my teenage years, I had one abortion, which I regreted after the fact. My parents didn't want me to get one, but I went ahead and did it. Well in the 12 years since then, I have had only 1, 1 pregnancy that has gone to full term and I have a wonderful 7 year old daughter to show for it. I am now expecting again, and I am hoping that I have healed from my mistake. Hubby and I are both praying.

This is not a new trend. When I helped defend a state abortion statute 14 years ago, the data showed that 97 or 98 percent of abortions involved a healthy mother and baby, and a decision made for social reasons, only.

It's easy to rationalize abortion when you don't have a belief system to guide you. Women like these brush off the moral implications of killing your children because they believe thay have no one to answer to. Are they ever wrong.
