Funny how on the link you posted, one of the criticisms of Pope Pius XII is that he signed a concordat that stated the Church would not interfere with the state, yet that is exactly what libs like yourself want from the Church in the U.S.A. The more it changes, the more it stays the same.

Considering anyone who support separation of institutionalized religion and government to be a lib is a self-comforting oversimplification. Here the news for you: division between liberals and conservatives is not all about religion.

But at the time that idea hit Pius XII Catholic Church was one of few political forces able to resist Nazis. Instead Pope decided to take advantage of the situation.

Berate America for any breach of the so-called "separation of Church and state" AND upbraid the Catholic Church for indulging in the very thing libs like you promote at the same time!
