Are they going to have to go through driver's ed and all that stuff or are they just going to be issued a driver's license?
"Are they going to have to go through driver's ed and all that stuff or are they just going to be issued a driver's license?"
this whole driver's license for illegals is all a ruse just so the 'Rats can get illegals into the DMV. Next move is to get them registered to vote.
As we all know, anyone who has a legal driver's license from the home country can legally drive anywhere in America
Good ole "one-bill Gill" strikes (out) again.
I'm hearing rumors of a new effort at an initiative, this time properly funded and with paid signature gatherers. Gill is gonna give this effort a reall send off, if he isn't careful!
We should demand licenses for all. Anyone who has the money to pay the fee should get a license. No restrictions, no requirements. It's time to put a stop to this nonsense!
Oprima el numero dos para ingles.
That's the point of "motor voter," right?
please email and/or call the members
I've come to the conclusion that the only way we can govern this state is by proposition and recall!
This is ridiculous! We , the legal citizens, have to get an initiative going to prevent illegals from driving with licenses?
where is our backlash? What will it take?
Arnold has already said that in light of the Real ID bill, it is premature to debate this bill. This is DOA if it hits his desk.
this is not about driver's licenses! LMAO
this is about getting illegals registered to vote!
anyone with a driver's license from their home country can legally drive anywhere in America...
they don't need an American driver's license
"That's the point of "motor voter," right?"
"What will it take?"
RECALL & PROPOSITION!
How about on the National level??!!!!
well this is about CA and what is going on here tomorrow
Sort of like firing the bank guard, and leaving the bank doors and vault open.
I'm going to sign off here shortly...
been a verrrry long day...
just wanted to give you guys a HEADS UP for tomorrow
Just about ready to blow taps down here!
I think this has pretty much been done in by the US Real ID act.
I see that Gil "Seditious" Cedillo is still at it. He'll do anything to help his fellow Latinos, the illegal alien lawbreakers.
La Raza has to be chuckling in their meatball sopa. Let's hope sanity prevails tomorrow. If not, I may go off the grid permanently.
It's in the California Constitution.
More "Equal Protection" mumbo-jumbo?
"It's in the California Constitution?"
legislating from you pc tonight? LOL
where does it say in the California constitution that everyone who lives here has a "right to an education?"
ALL E-mails sent. Thanks for the heads-up! I sent Gil Cedillo (one bill Gil) a special one, asking him to please not bring this legislation up again.
Subject: NO on SB 60 Sent: Wed, 18 May 2005 21:22:41 -0700

I guess "ONE BILL GIL" is getting lots of mail tonight!
I'm trying to educate you not Arnold. Article 9 of the California State Constitution, read it. Californians have had a right to an education since 1849.
Even in 1849, that would include the children of illegals if the children were born in the US.
I don't know what you are trying to read ino this but when it says Californians having a right to an education it's talking about legal residents not fence crawlers.
That's exactly what I've pointed out to another poster who claimed that American citizens had no such right. What did you read into it?
On, no this could only happen if we don't vote for Arnold.
Surely you jest, this is California.<(¿)>
The bill has been amended to require that the licenses be clearly labeled to distinguish them from those issued to citizens. This is the deal the Guv offered Gil last year that he walked away from.
No kidding! If this were to become law, we couldn't use our California driver's licenses to board planes or enter federal facilities. There would be a massive run by Californians to get US passports.
I have personally witnessed people coaching non-English speakers as they took a driving test at the Poway DMV office. The staff ignores the blatant behavior as the coach points to the answers. This was observed after the "motor voter" BS was passed. The whole examination process is a ruse when it comes to hispanic applicants in that office.
It won't pass the Governators desk. He is 100% against illegals getting licenses.
Heck, i was the the DMV in Long Beach the other day getting a replacement license and i could have been anyone to get a new picture and ID issued.

One-Bill-Gil wants CA to issue ("shall issue") CA drivers licences to the illegal aliens again but provides that the licenses "cannot be used for federal identification purposes."
So, how is anyone going to be able to tell the difference between CA licenses that can and cannot be used for federal ID purposes? SB 60 does not provide for any visual clues distinguishing the illegal alien licenses from the regular licenses.
People legally here must follow the provisions of the federal Real ID Act, but people illegally here are exempt. Why aliens are called "California drivers" is curious, since foreigners (legal and illegal) ought to be called foreign drivers. (Then, of course, why would they need CA licenses when they could use their own countries' licenses to drive here?)
You remind me of Bill Clinton. By your logic, if one is too feeble to speak out then one does not have the right to free speech.
Not logic, it just doesn't specify that anyone has the "right to an education"
now if you can quote in the CA constitution where it does I will be glad to read it.
No need to get nasty. LOL
Any "right" that someone else has to pay for is not actually a "right." See the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights for a long list of examples.
I don't think early Californians would have agreed with this.
I think most everyone who can renews their driver's licenses online...
going to the DMV these days is like going to the UN.
half of the employees don't speak English and the other half don't know what they're doing...kind of like the banks, post offices, gas stations and grocery stores. LOL
It was like being in a foreign country.
