For one thing there's Jesus, and then there's the Mahdi. (and that's just within Islamic thought to say nothing of Christianity).

I'm not quite on top of which particular school of Islamic thought, and the sect associated with it, believes Jesus to be the Mahdi, but this guy belongs to it.

I would imagine that the Shi'ite End Times literature that identifies "W" as the Mahdi just whizzed right past him like it had never been written.
