I read an article a while back about some guy from Finland who was probably the most successful sniper ever.
The most interesting thing is he used iron sights and many of his kills were at long range. Also used a standard military bolt action.

..."There is no reason to have this [sniper rifle] in a civil society - in our society,"...
I can think of quite a few good reasons.
Why do we need a good reason? Simply wanting one should be sufficient.

It happens that my just wanting one is a perfectly good reason.
But there are 100 of one reason and app. 350 of another and several thousand of a third reason too.

Everything but gay marriage and sodomy is illegal, regulated, or highly taxed in MA, what's your point? :)
I'm pretty sure this will also bring down an airplane. Perahsps we should ban siege engines as well?

(Overwhelmingly superior firepower and the willingness to use it is the only proven peace solution.)

Nice paint job. Did you do that? It reminds me that I've got a couple that need to be made a little less conspicious than just BLACK. Yep. An airbrush, masking tape and some flat enamel paints is all it takes.
