Have the makers of chocolate milk PROVEN that it doesn't cause violent crime?

What Average Joes can do is not buy and look at the stuff. But...

Encourage your local and national representatives to make laws to protect Americans from obscenity.

Uh oh.

In cities where prosecutors have gone after pornographic shops and other sexually oriented businesses, all types of crimes have dropped.

Crime has generally dropped all over the country, and I suspect "all types of crimes" dropped even in places where prosecutors didn't go after porno shops.

The local porn shop is going to wither and die anyway long term; everything is the internet.

Depends on what kind of porn your looking at. If you just like boobies then I don't see any "next step". Alot of guys have looked at Playboy all their lives and never raped or groped any woman. They just like to look at naked boobies very once and while.

Nothing new under ths sun.

James 1:14-15 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

As the article says, a fleeting though gives way to fantacizing which in turn gives way to pornography which gives way to obsessing which leads to rape and child molesting. If the fear of the law doesn't stop them, then the law must be much harsher. I'll volunteer for the firing squad and provide my own gun and ammo.

I had a huge discussion with my guy friends about this, some married, some not. We came to the conclusion that most guys in their late 20's, 30's and 40's who watch porn are probably doing so because their sex life stinks and they are not getting enough from their significant other. These guys, including myself, are tired of hearing the same old tired excuses and find it easier to watch porn than to beg for sex from their wife who would find it more pleasing to go visit her parents or spend time with her friends' kids or something.

Additionally, we all agreed that if we got more sex from the wives or significant others, we would probably watch less porn. My friends' wives are actually outraged that they even consider watching porn in the first place. Its a circular argument. Girl is to tired or emotional to have sex - guy gets frustrated and watches porn- girm is pissed off and does not want sex - guy is frustrated and watches porn.

I am not against pornography as much as other people are so long as it is not displayed on TV, etc etc.

What a slanderous little worm you are.

A town with a lot of sex businesses will likely have a dirty police force.

So a drive to run them out probably means fed up homeowners elected an honest mayor.

“The purveyors of pornography repeatedly challenge us to prove that pornography causes violent crime,” said Rep. Harris. “I challenge them to prove that it does not.”

Pornography does not cause violent crime any more than guns kill people.

Some people use porn as an excuse for their crimes the same way some people blame their crimes on alcohol.

I've found tons of hardcore porn at meth labs. OTH those maggots have been known to sexually abuse their children in some cases.

The porno industry tends to support the Left and make war on the Right. There are some exceptions but Larry Flint and his ilk like to wrap themselves in the American flag only so they can claim the 1st amendment.

Lots of the big wigs in the industry dish out multiple genres like lezbo, homo, regular hardcore, etc. Then others pick up some specialty areas ("see the cute blond and the dog"). Nowadays the only thing that gets prosecuted regularly is child pornography. Those prosecution efforts need to be kept up and the next bit of strategy to follow should be fines for legit media like PBS that violate what should be shown on regular free TV.

I too enjoy watching damaged, molested girls coked or tweaked out of their minds getting nailed for drug money. The trick is, focus on the implants. If you look at their eyes too much, you can see just how high they really are. That just kills the moment.

Well, unlike the previous thread, at least nobody is claiming that a guy pleasuring himself while watching hetero porn is committing a homosexual act.

Many things are addicting. I happen to be able to have one, two or three beers and then stop. Some people can't.

I think a distinction should be made between pornography and child pornography. When the officer said every pedophile had porn I wonder if it was child pornography. That's different, and sick.

"Where should we start? Maybe with this statement from Phil Burress, president of Citizens for Community Values in Cincinnati, Ohio: “I’ve never met a police officer yet who investigated a pedophile that did not find pornography. Every one of them said pornography is always on the scene.”"

I've never meat a police officer yet who investigated a homicide that did not find air on the scene.

Silly generalizations make the rest of the argument unworthy of my time.

“I’ve never met a police officer yet who investigated a pedophile that did not find pornography.

I think the logic here is that, since all pedophiles look at porn, anybody who looks at porn is a potential pedophile.

And since Ted Bundy looked at porn, everybody who looks at porn is a potential serial killer.

Do I have that right?

I quit commenting on these threads because the only argument one sees from the terminally clueless is "So, you are defending pedophiles, huh?", no matter if the comment was, "Oranges are sour, sometimes".

Porn is one of the biggest problems and causer of problems in our society today, largely because so many use the erroneous excuse, "I like it, and it's not harming anyone."

This kind of attitude can only be turned 'round by Jesus.

I'm all for rounding up sickos who sexually exploit minors, but 'protecting Americans from obscenities' is a bit much. If one adult wants to look at another adult naked, with their consent, in private... I might not care for it, but using resources to prosecute it is a waste.
