Are these people REALLY that stupid!! Do they really claim that, if a cop stops me and, if I have no driver's license and, if I am an illegal Mexican alien, HE HAS TO LET ME GO?

"Ruiz and Escobar are scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on May 26."

Anyone care to bet on whether or not they show up for their hearing?

These same protesters were in New Ipswich, NH a couple hours earlier protesting Chief Chamberlain's arrest of a Mexican illegal recently.

It was a pretty positive and respective thing and everyone conducted themselves in an honorable way.

"Our position is that if you entered the country illegally, you committed a crime," he said. "The United States government has spent billions of dollars on Homeland Security since September 11, 2001, and it starts with illegal aliens. They should not be here."

I live in Hudson, NH, and Chief Gendron has a lot of support here. In a response to a note I sent, he said that they remain committed to the cause. Apparently the protesters didn't change his mind...

Speaking for the New Hampshire Immigration Rights Task Force, state Rep. Hector Valez of Manchester told Gendron [even though they were never arrested], "We believe these charges represent unjust and unconstitutional denials of human rights," Valez said.

So I guess it's considered "unjust and unconstitutional denials of human rights" when a Mexican national is not arrested for the following:

Unfortunately, I have no idea about the leanings of the local judges, or even which judge will be getting this case.

Surprisingly, the Nashua Telegraph, the local liberal rag, published an editorial in support of enforcing the US/Mexico border.

As of last Thursday, the Hudson PD reported receiving only positive comments, so it looks like the protestors are not Hudson residents, just the usual suspects from elsewhere.

Just drag a Birkenstock gift certificate thru any Massachusetts college campus, and voila! You have your protestors.

The Bush Administration will probably make sure he loses his job, but God Bless him. He's going to need it, as Mexico rules and American citizens are dirt to the Bush people.

I wrote to Chief Chamberlain to compliment him on his brave stand against illegal immigration in his city, and to let him know that the majority of America supports his stand. I received the following reply:

Thanks for the words of support; I will continue to fight for what is right for this great Nation.

Garrett Chamberlain

"Although they were never arrested, the criminal-trespass violation carries a maximum fine of $1,000. Ruiz and Escobar are scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on May 26."

I'd make them post bond of $1,000 that would be forfeited if they no show. Some towns could lower taxes if they'd start charging illegals fines for trespassing.

Human rights? They want to protest human rights? Why don't they go down to Mexico's southern border, and see how they treat their illegals! Never mind, they could only get away with it, in a country allowing insanity, to rule over logic!
