Absolutely right.
He cares more about what two or three dozen Washington/New York writers and talking heads think of him than hundreds of thousands of constitutents, or tens of millions of party members.

Lindsey Graham had the gall to get in front of the camera and say that the White House should get in touch with them (the 7 RINO's and 7 flaming Liberals), now that they've struck a compromise. The idiocy of that statement is insulting to anyone who was watching that dog and pony show of a press conference.

That will happen when hell freezes over. Lindsey should be happy that someone doesn't whip his sissy and/or drunk butt.

I'd like to point out that even Benedict Arnold was considered a hero before he became a traitor. A man can be both at different times.

McCain is opportunistic but dulusional (IMO). He thinks the glory from the MSM will help him but this act of selling out the Conservatives should make it clear to all what he really stands for. He stands for McCain and the warmthof MSM adulation.
One potentially healthy thing out of this is that he sharply reduced his chances in 2008. Unless he runs with the democratic candidate where his ideals and sympathies really lie.

His chances in 2008? Zero.
The guy came home from VN and dumped his disabled wife. He took up with a drug addict (with money) who stole drugs out of packages being sent overseas. Her family got the charges dropped.
Just what we need, a maniac and a drug addict in the White House.

If the agreement is allowed to stand, these 14 senators will control the courts. The sell out our president, the constitution, and the senate leadership to "save the senate."
Those signing the statement of understanding should pay a high price for their misguided arrogance.
I hope Frist presses the point. He was on a talk radio show today saying that he did not sign the agreement and did not approve it. I hope he has the focus and courage to push for every Bush nominee's up or down vote. To let this gang of 14 to run the country and influence the courts in this unconstitutional manner must not stand.

"I'm afraid I'll have to call you on that point. He was a POW and EARNED every promotion and award that he got in/from Vietnam. As a Senior Ranking Officer in the POW camp he comported himself most admirably and valorously. Pick on his politics and ego as a politician, (Lord knows I and many Vets do) but please, not his patriotism by stooping to DU level calling him a traitor."
I read that he brought down four planes during his service, all of them American.

Me thinks you should read your history more closely. McCain primarily wrecked or got himself shot down a number of times. He was treated like a prince, as an admirals son, while serving as a POW.
As a Vietnam-era vet, I cannot bring myself to call this man a hero. He did stay in the Hanoi Hilton when offered a chance at release. I do respect his solidarity with his fellow servicemen. However his solidarity and loyalty ends with Vietnam. I respect his service but his politics have been egocentric, distructive, self-serving,and may harm our republic.
Every time I see McCain basking in the warm lime-light of the MSM, I see a dillusional RINO who really is not capable of "straight talk".

Save your key strokes. This narcissistic pr*ck is bolstered by the attention. Work and spend to defeat him in the primaries and pressure the Republican leadership to take what ever punitive measures they have available from Committee reassignment to office space to withholding of financing and face time.

Not at all. He crashed and totaled out two during his training, (if not for his Daddy admiral he would have been washed out) He screwed up with his plane on the deck of an aircraft carrier, (this resulted in deaths and mucho damage to the carrier) then he got shot down in the fourth one. Makes four American planes by my math.

Let me just ask:
When did you graduate from Pensicola Naval Aviation Cadet Training?
When did you finish your Carrier Quals?
How many successful traps on that postage stamp of an airfield in an F-4 Phantom have you made in the open sea?

McCain stabbed us in the back three times. No more.
I will never vote for McCain or give him any credit as a Republican. We can never trust him.

How come 7 members of the Senate have suddenly elevated themselves to advisory committee to the President on judicial picks?
How come 7 members of the Senate now are the ones who determine when a filibuster is an option.
Were these 7 voted in to that position of power? Or, did they just execute a coup?
Well - we do not have to give the power to them. We need to turn our backs and deal with the real GOP senators.

Mr McCain,
You have denied good decent judges the right to receive a vote on the senate floor. You have been used as a tool by the radical left to keep good, well qualified conservative people off the federal bench.

What in the world does McCain's service have to do with whether we are upset about his current actions or not?
Are you trying to play the military service card to make us accept his mutiny?

It is time to leave the Republican party. What about the Constitution Party?
