Hillary Clinton's Attacks on Women Uncovered in New Book
PR Web (Press Release) ^ | 5-25-2005 | Candice E. Jackson

As Hillary Clinton begins lining up support for the Iowa caucuses, the author of a new book denounces her role in threatening Bill's women. "She will do anything for political power."

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 25, 2005 -- As Hillary Rodham Clinton begins her campaign for the White House by courting voters in Iowa, the state whose caucuses signal the kick-off to the Presidential race, new charges have emerged that may sink the Senator's chances to return to the Oval Office. A controversial new book contends that Hillary played an active role in husband Bill Clinton's efforts to bribe, threaten, and intimidate the former objects of his desire who later became political nuisances.

Candice E. Jackson -- former Judicial Watch legal counsel and author of the new book "Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine" (World Ahead Publishing, hardback; $25.95 US; ISBN 0974670138) -- writes that Hillary Clinton was not a victim of Bill's philandering. Instead, she makes the case that Hillary was an active partner who helped Bill wield his political power to attack the women who got in their way. The book is set to hit bookstore shelves on May 31, the same day as the paperback release of the former President's memoir "My Life."

"Hillary Clinton has shown over and over that she will do anything for political power," says Jackson. "She played an active role in helping her husband harass and intimidate the women who got in their way of their march to the top. Given her track record, women everywhere should be scared by the idea that Hillary may one day return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. "Senator Clinton can't credibly claim to be ignorant about the attacks her husband leveled against the women linked to him," Jackson asserts. "Bill's people hired private investigators to intimidate ex-girlfriends, used bribery to try to silence key witnesses, and sent tough guys to scare women who had been subpoenaed. And through it all, Hillary was there, not just standing by her man but actively smearing these poor women in the media."

With speculation of the former First Lady's presidential candidacy rising in the wake of her recent invitation to key Iowa supporters to visit her home in Washington, DC, the explosive accusations in "Their Lives" are sure to play a key role in Hillary's political future. In fact, Clinton acolytes have already taken to national media outlets to denounce the author, who is a recovering victim of rape. "Hillary and Bill have no qualms about attacking women who come forward to reveal the truth," says Jackson, who remains defiant in the face of continued Clintonian smears. "Even if they have thugs harass my family like they did to Gennifer Flowers, or send shadowy figures to approach me like they did to Kathleen Willey, it won't deter me. We have got to get to the bottom of what Hillary Clinton did to hurt these women before she tries to reclaim the White House."

About the Author: Candice E. Jackson, a libertarian feminist, is an attorney and commentator from Los Angeles. She formerly worked for Judicial Watch, a public watchdog group, and is a graduate of Stanford University and Pepperdine Law School. A recovering victim of domestic assault, her articles have appeared in Reason magazine, The Independent Review, and other publications.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG:

"Can't imagine this book changing many minds. If you don't know who Hillary is by now it would take a smoking gun video to convince otherwise."

Human convictions are like onions. They can only take in truth one level at a time. You might as well write off the free world. For goodness sake, half the voters in this country are women. If you were on George Washington's war council, he'd kick you out of his tent, on the spot. I wouldn't do that to you if I could, because I like to think that half the reason you are here is to learn.

I just get set off by wet blankets. Been fighting them from the beginning at this forum. Wet blankets don't spread any kind of fire, whatsoever. They just rain on everyone. We have enough rain, especially right now, after this Senate Sellout.

Consider yourself smacked by Patton's glove. Quit snivelling and get back in the war!

WE HAVE YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!

FRegards....

Candice E. Jackson, also a former litigation counsel for Judicial Watch. Take that anyway you will.

My opinion is that those that eat this type of book up might talk about it on threads like these, but will they buy it? If Jackson gets the interviews on prime time, perhaps it will get more notice; but the lives of the Clintons are no shock to anyone.

After a while people become desensitized to their crimes and misdemeanors". A big seller? Doubt it. Just another brick in the wall already tagged with the same old Clinton graffiti.

You either hate the Clintons or follow in their entourage. Will it "shock"? As I said earlier, I doubt it.

This book, and on air appearances by the women injured by Hillary, might just have the same effect on the 2008 campaign that Unfit for Command and the appearances by the Swiftvets had on the 2004 campaign.

You're so defeatist you're disarming yourself before the fight even starts. We need to do our best to keep up our spirits and use whatever we have against her. If we'd gone in to the 2004 election thinking this way Kerry would have won.

Wrong. Most libs don't know of the pairs 'dark-side'... and what little they read or hear is automatically 'deleted' as junk-mail from the RNC. They know Hillary by her political record and the constant 'oral' she recieves by the MSM.

The Swift Boat Vets found a way to to get their message out about Kerry... and it affected an election. Who's to say that something 'similar' could befall the one with the one with the load-bearing ankles?

Look guys and gals this is real simple THE GENERAL PUBLIC DOESN'T CARE. She is considered by many to be one of the victims who stoically stood by her man. We know its BS.

Also Hillary has never really had to run a real campaign. Remember the tough NY media gave her a pass. I personally believe it would be great to run against her with her relative inexperience. Any Democrap who gets the nomination is going to be communist/ socialist anyway whether its Hillery or whomever. Give me Hillery rather than somebody who has run and won multiple campaigns.

To have an effect, the information in this book would require widespread and favorable attention in the MSM. Being that the media is partisan, that won't happen.

"...many conservatives, who would trust Snopes more than..."

You are right about that! Snopes is about as reliable as the average junk email but so many people hold it up as reliable as a 1948 Britannica.

"Look guys and gals this is real simple THE GENERAL PUBLIC DOESN'T CARE."

You sure are bent on convincing people of this. I guess that based on the kind of friends you have, perhaps you believe this. I guess you aren't very persuasive when you broach the subject, if you even have the guts to. You definitely need to learn more.

There is also the gross-out factor. People don't like being on the wrong side. The more grossed out they are on their position, the more likely they won't fight very hard for their cause. Ever stop and think about that?

This ship is just too rough for you, but it isn't for me. This ship is for those who are willing to fight a tough fight. This is the ship that launched our forum in the first place. If the waters are too rough, get off. And quit trying to be a wet blanket for those who are riding it out.

You gotta' be kidding! Where's your head been since 1998? Deep freeze?

The best book promotion tool around is Talk Radio. How much did the MSM help the Swift Boat Vets?

It all comes down to choosing a strong Republican candidate; then books like these really shouldn't matter. Sure they may sway a few voters, but if you don't have the Right Candidate you won't have the Vote.

I still believe, some voters (most won't admit the fact) are not ready for a woman President. Others "starry eyed" with the Clintons, can see no wrong and would call Jackson a slanderer and an opportunist. The same crowd that attacked the Swift Boat Vets, in fact.

Of course Jackson's book would get covered by FOX, the conservative radio/talk media outlets; but then these opinions are already formed. The so-called liberal networks where those of the exact opposite opinion rest their cleavage in their favorite chair every night may never be recipient of an unbiased dissection of Jackson's book.

Guess we will see how the book sells and its shelf life. The time-frame of publication seems ahead of the game.

No question the Swift Boat Vets made a difference. But don't forget, they had to run prime time ads on the MSM. Even so, because of unfavorable media coverage, there were plenty of everyday Americans wondering if those guys weren't just part of a smear campaign. They'd have made a massively larger difference had the media given them the same kind of attention it gave to reports of Bush's National Guard history.

The book and the facts in it aren't likely to be part of a national ad campaign and the MSM isn't giving it a fair hearing either.

But I hope you are right and I am wrong.

The Clintons had a solid 43% of the american voters no matter what they did. The kicker for them was Ross Perot.

If there is no popular third party person running in 08, Hillary doesn't stand a chance.

a wet blanket for those who are riding it out.

No one is a "wet blanket" as you commented to the other poster; however if you can't take creative criticsm and counter with the same and only script "waters are too rough..get off", then you will alienate and not accumulate positive response.

I have some misgivings as well to the "power" of this book; but I think this was a Free country where we can express our views and opinions last time I looked. We are on the same side; but doesn't mean we have to think, walk, talk and bob our heads the same way.

I probably will not buy this book; I will catch the highlights on talk/Fox and like and unlikely minded news outlets.
