My God.
This is stark raving bonkers, even for the tabloid press.
He's really lost his mind.

...Within the span of 24 hours he lost control not only of the Senate but temporarily of the House of Representatives, which was supposed to be regimented by unquestioned loyalty...This from the architect of the photo-op assemblage behind the impeached former president clinton at the height of his travails. Remember the unified democrats? Knowing of the lies, they stood behind him.
Oh, Blumenthal is a serial liar as well, as he knowingly spun untruths in defense of the impeached former president.

· Sidney Blumenthal is former senior adviser to President Clinton and author of The Clinton Wars
that kinda explains the whole argument --doesnt it

More than the seven Republican signatories supported the accord, but they let the others take a public stance without revealing themselves. Bush's radicalism offended their conservatism. Eisenhower would be their preferred model for a Republican president.Eisenhower was a nice man. But he was no conservative. Any R that fancies Eisenhower as the preferred model is no conservative.

This is a lesson about the foreign press. Whenever you read something in one of them, realize that, unlike in this story, you don't necessarily have the appropriate 'contextual' knowledge. Foreign press is also a lot more partisan. That's why I hold some reservations about what really happened in the Ukraine.

Frist, like most Republicans in favour of the nuclear option, had enthusiastically filibustered against Clinton's court nomineesThis is just a lie and Blumenthal knows it.
To: RWR8189
Once it was triggered, it would obliterate a 200-year-old tradition of the Senate.Ignorant brit twit...
Neither the filibuster, and certainly not the filibustering of presidential appointments are anywhere near that old.
Neither is the redefined (by the democrats) majority requirement of 60 to approve the nominees.
The senate may have Constitutional authority to set its own rules, but certainly not to make rules eliminating specific Constitutional duties expected of that body.

he would pack the courts,
Perhaps what he meant to say was UNPACK the courts that were previously packed with those who lack commitment and respect for our Constitution.

So what was it called when the Dems had control of all three branches and the courts?"

Will these idiots ever realize that we understand how "projection" works .. and all their complaints tell us exactly how they think ..?? Let's hope not .. this exposure of themselves is so entertaining.

Dear Sidney,
Bush won. May every moment of his Presidency twist in your guts and mercilessly ring in your ears. May it invade your slumber, and dominate your daily screeds. May every day pass slowly, excruciatingly slowly, for you.

I swear these people are the most devious, dissemblers of the written word ever created. No wonder they shade everything possible in hues of gray, there is no other way their message could get across.

I left the Democratic Party because of lying pimple-assed freaks like Sidney Blumenthal. What a friggin' weirdo he is.

"The Magnificent Seven"...
Think about that one for awhile. He's talking about the Seven Judases.
Also, he states that the Nuclear Option has been done away with. Not as long as Republicans are in control, Sidney!
I hope the left gets even more arrogant. They don't realize that 60 votes could possibly be reached as early as next year and then it's a dead issue anyway.
