"The Iraqi Forces are clearly in the fight, said Lt. Col. Clifford Kent, a Task Force Baghdad spokesperson. “They’re taking the lead in going after these terrorists."

Clearly what many of us have been saying would come to past is coming to past. The new Iraqi Government,Army, Special OPS units, police, and the Shiite Badar milita brigade are not going to stop. As the army continues to pump out new recruits and integrates them in the experienced units, they are going to continue to increase in efficiency and fighting ability. Like our Marines and most of our Army folk, each time an Iraqi soldier gets killed it is going to piss of his buddies and they will go after the scum bags with more spirit then Z-man is prepared to see happen.
Zarqawi, the Baathist insurgents etc., thought they could scare the new army and police away, and keep things in a semi chaotic state. Now they are going to see over the next half year how bad it is going to be for them.

"As fighting raged in Baghdad's western neighborhoods, Iraq's freshly minted legislators pounded out their first agreement on the 15 basic articles to guide their new constitution — including democracy, federalism, separation of powers and making Islam the state religion."

Boy the L/MSM is HATEING EVERY MINUTE OF THIS STUFF. Their grinding their teeth into dust! Imagine what all those Democrats, and far left Libs who tried to literaly subvert our nation last year, are now thinking. At least for those that even know what the hell is going on.

"While the looming prospect of executions is worrying human rights groups, the government insists it has no alternative. "We must maintain order and dissuade criminals and terrorists," said government spokesman Leith Kubba."

CLEARLY THE ONLY THING TO DO AT THIS POINT IS ANY HUMAN RIGHTS GROUP THAT IS IN IRAQ BE GRABED......CHAINED TO A DAMN POST AND LET THESE NEWLY TRAINED MEMBERS OF THE IRAQI COUNTER TERROISM FORCE USE THEM FOR TARGET PRACTICE as they become familiar with those M4 rifles.

"I recognise that Iraq is faced with serious security problems and that the population has a wish for revenge," said Human Rights Watch's Joe Stork.

"But human rights cannot be decided by public opinion."

Then who is to say what is permissable or not. If the majority of Iraqi's support the death penalty, and this bonified democratically elected governement consisting of Sunnis, Shiites, a Christian, Kurds, and a few other ethnic and religious representatives make the death penalty lawfull. Then that is their business not some damn far left commie clown's right to object. Like I said earlier on in these posts, they ought to grab these jerks, line em up and let the new Iraqi Army Counter Terroist units use em for target practice.

TexKat and Gucho sure keeping these eyes busy this morning.
Haven't checked if you posted today or any other major posts of significance.

Things are sure heating up in old Baghdad now that the NIA has it's act together. Z-man and the Izzat el Douri crowd are in for a big suprise. To many hold out in towns like Karma (east of B), then south along the w side of the Ephratees in towns like Iskandiriya, Al Mahmudiya, Latifiya, etc., in the TODeath areas off N/S route 8. Now there are sufficient numbers of the NIA to work with our Army and Marine units in these areas. The tide is changing. And as the tide goes outward there are going to be hundreds if not more dead insurgent corpses floating out to sea.
