Wonder who leaked this. And if the information was already vetted by the Intelligence committee, why should it be made public?

Don't know who leaked this, but Dianne Feinstein's billionaire husband has had extensive dealings with China - not to mention some illegal land grabs including a borax mine on a state reserve. He's a big-time swindler, hence Mrs. Feinstein is the richest woman in the Senate.

The more secret details are released the more this country is smeared, the better for those Dem blockers and filibusterers.
It serves it's purpose to finger point without making any contributions.

You think he was eavesdropping on Feinstein's husband? That would certainly explain the need to keep it secret.

This sentence from the full article partially answers your question: "The officials included people on both sides of the debate over Bolton's nomination who said they wanted to give the public a clearer picture of the nature of the dispute between Congress and the White House."

I believe the copy given to the two Senators had the names redacted. I think it would have to be someone in the NSA.
