BBC reported today a poll showing that 56% of Germans want to go back to the Deutschemark.

The Problem is that all the other countries seem to not have had popular referendum votes on this. IN most of the countries the legislatures votes.

I'd like to see some major protests/movements for withdrawal from the Euro. If it got started in even one country, it would have a domino effect.

Given the currency peg, they could have just left the national monies in circulation and simply taken interest rate control away, but they wanted to imprint to the masses and the world markets that the euro was here to stay,.......

it could happen in holland, dissstatisfaction over the euro is very high here. but we dutch almost never protested, until a few years ago.
