Hillary: Bush Wants Absolute Power

Bill Clinton may be an honorary member of the Bush family, but that hasn't tempered criticism from his senator-wife one bit.
In her latest email to prospective donors, Hillary blasts Bush as a power-mad politician whose policies are "wrong for America."
"What I see happening in Washington is a concerted effort by the Administration and the leadership in Congress to really create absolute power," she complained.
Hillary warns that Republicans are trying to "remake America in their image."
"[They're] reversing the progress we have made as a country, not just undoing the achievements of the Clinton Administration, but taking us backward to the nineteenth century!"
Hillary tells her supporters that "Republicans are raising tens of millions of dollars to defeat me in 2006. But the former first lady says the GOP is "going to find out that I am not easy to stop."
Now "more than ever," says Hillary, she needs campaign cash to fight against "the Republican power grab."

Yup, they reversed the biggest tax increase in the history of the USA and gave the people their money back.
They are also undoing your hideous legacy of appeasing OBL, the North Koreans, and the Somali warlords.

Hillary is only writing what the nut-ball Democrats already believe. They think Bush is Hitler. Been saying it for a long time. And no amount of argument is going to persuade them that Bush isn't Hitler.
To: wagglebee
The achievments of the Clinton Administration?
What like the three terrorist bombings, the office foreplay, selling secrets to China, things like that?
If that's progress, I'm all for Bush's design. Let the groundwork for Bush America begin!!

Can I get somebody to help me disagree with Dick Morris, who says that only Condi can beat Hillary? He says someone like Allen or Frist (whom I personally would not vote for in the primaries, but would in the actual election) cannot beat her. I disagree, and maybe only because I want to. =P
To: wagglebee
According to her, Bush is undoing the progress that was done during "the Clinton Administration", thus sending us back to the 19th Century...
Notice how she is giving the Clinton Administration credit for EVERYTHING, up until Bush was elected and now he's supposedly taking us back...what achievements did Clinton have that have been taken away to where there is none of the 20th Century left? BTW, I didn't find a thread, and was wondering if anyone saw the Progressive conference that was on live on c-span today? It had the new mayor of California, and a bunch of the lefties there...

No need to worry about that CC. I don't think McCain has a snowballs chance in Hades to ever get the nod for pres. Heck, I don't think he even has a chance for Senate Majority Leader.

he says Condi, Rudy, or McCain are the only ones who can beat her.
hard to comment on the specifics, but most freepers underestimate the level of support she will get. there will be a surge in women votes for her, from independent women attracted to the novelty of electing the first woman president, and young single women who would otherwise not vote, but since its "chic" to elect Hillary, will.
To: Michael.SF.
I would vote either ticket. I think a Cheney/Rice ticket would be a world beater.

Than that would make a ticket with Condi Rice as either the Presidential Candidate or the VP even better. You've got the double barrel of Woman/Minority. If the left votes against that they are about as progressive as a Hippopotamus stuck in the mud.

Dick Morris is wrong here. Condi Rice is a great lady, but she will not get the nomination. She has no elective experience and could not make it through the primaries. Frist has completely screwed up his leadership position. I don't think Hitlery will actually even get the 'Rat nomination. I predict George Allen with Condi or Guiliani as his running mate will win. I think the Democratic nominee will be Gephardt or Bayh.

Hitlery may well be the most dangerous person in the history of America. As a sitting Senator in N.Y. she is one of a hundred. Dangerous, but controllable
As President, I shudder to contemplate. She must be stopped at all costs.
New Yorkers can help by NOT RE-ELECTING her in 2006

The Dems are the most power mad group in the world. As evidenced by their lack of power and the fact that they don't dare be honest about what they want and what they believe.

Ya got an amen here.
Any reasonable alternative to Hillary making the right promises will appeal to many Americans. Allen or Frist would be a good option there.
However, while I think they COULD win, I won't buy Frist's meek acceptance of the compromise--he gets no vote from me, nohow--and I already said I won't vote for a Senator in the primary unless all the judicial nominations are voted through. Allen's a good man, but I'm keeping my pledge.
Until then--RUMMY 2008!

Dang, as a woman, I hope you, Dick Morris and anyone else that thinks that women would vote for Mrs. Bubba just because she is a woman, are wrong, wrong, wrong,...
I dare say, that women like myself will probably fight HARDER to beat her than we might someone else, I don't know.
I know I will do whatever it takes, and whatever I have left after I make sure that McCain gets no where near the Republican nomination...

I think she's delusional. If she should acuse anyone of creating an absolute power scheme, then she should look in the mirror, not at the administration...maybe the last administration! I wonder if her own husband is going to vote for her, seeing as he's gotten friendly with the Bushes.
