I am talking about guns not ozone
To: Spktyr
Our country was based on certain principals, and ozone had nothing to do with it.

"Why are many republicans even afraid to stand up for gun rights?"WTF are you talking about?

Most of clinton's laws are still in effect, no one has done anything.

Why are many republicans even afraid to stand up for gun rights? I believe you are referring to the phenomenon known as the "RINO."
A strange beast -- it lacks a spine, guts, and gonads.

He joined today, this is apparently his first post, it's in the wrong section, it's got a billion keywords that he added in (which a real newbie probably wouldn't do), and it's purposely inflammatory - perhaps attempting to get FReepers to slam the Republicans so he can get a laugh.
Sounds like a classic DU profile. I could be wrong, as I said.

I will vote R as long as there is nothing better, but I am not happy with the political, you pet mine and I'll pet your's, B.S.

If you think I am a demoncat, I dont need to be here. Discussion about problems does not mean that you are a traitor, think about the basis for our nation. I am just tired of how our side is moving their way.

"Most of clinton's laws are still in effect, no one has done anything." The Assault Weapons Ban was allowed to sunset, the last time I checked. That was a major deal for me. List your grievance's!

We're working on it. Sorry, Steve, but they aren't. Name one illegal gun law that's been repealed since Bush came into office.

Yeah, until the next liberal in office. We have a reprieve, not a pardon. I would rather have someone fighting for our rights than letting a bad law daylight out.

Question.. Do you believe that the United States was set up as a Democracy? Do not let FDR and the rest of the press make you believe it.
It was not.. its a Constitutional Republic. But thats not important right now.
As far as Gun laws are concerned.. GWB did allow the assault weapons ban to sunset.. but I have not heard or read anything about repealing any of the other gun laws in this country.
The problem is.. Gun Rights have become a very emotional issue to many.. and the shootings at schools and shopping malls do not help the cause in any way...
