Monument in Baldwin Park, CA draws protest
United American Committee ^ | 06-05-05 | Jesse P - UAC

Posted on 06/05/2005 9:04:13 PM PDT by JesseP

The following is an event June 25th that although is not sponsored or endorsed by the United American Committee may be of interest to many of our members. I will be there and if you can make it, you are all welcome to join me:

There is a monument in the city of Baldwin Park in the L.A. area that is paid for by tax payers money and has inscribed on it the following text:

"This land was Mexican once,
was Indian always
and is,
And will be again."

And on the other side of the monument it reads:

"IT WAS BETTER BEFORE THEY CAME"

A few weeks ago a protest was organized and only 40 people showed up in support of the removal of the monument. The reason the U.A.C. is involved this time is because the people who showed up to support the keeping of the monument was not just Mexicans or "Indians" as the monument states, but none other than radical Islamic extremists, you heard me right, people who seriously chanted the names of Zarquawi and Bin Laden...think I am joking? no...seriously........If you aren't worried, then come simply for entertainments sake, they are here and if you want to see first hand some home grown anti-American terrorists you can bet they will be right across the street from us. Don't worry we will have hundreds of law enforcement personnel to maintain order because:

WE ARE GOING BACK!

BALDWIN PARK MONUMENT PROTEST!
Metrolink Rail Station

SATURDAY, JUNE 25th
10 PM - 3 PM

Corner of Downing & Pacific
Baldwin Park, California

I hope to see all of you there as I will be there to show my support for our nation. Bring flags....

best,

Jesse Petrilla
United American Committee

This entire continent was one big empty patch of wasted space dominated by scattered patches of back-assward savages (and I do not use that word lightly) until Dead White Europeans showed up. The "Native" Americans had 10,000 years to get the place in order and instead they spent all that time sitting on their asses doing nothing. Sorry, Indians, but you had your shot.

If we "give" L.A. or all of California [back] to Mexico, the illegals will not want to be here. They left Mexico in order to be in the U.S.A., with all the freebies and freedoms that come attached.

All I want to give back to Mexico are the criminal invaders they've sent here.

I received the following e-mail from Tim Donnelly and tried to post it but was told that the (deleted).org was not welcome on Free Republic. I am pasting the e-mail hear with the website, etc. deleted.(/p>

Hello All:

I am forwarding this message at the request of a fellow Minuteman, and a Marine, who is a great American. He was so moved by the video of Baldwin Park that he and 2 of his fellow Marine Minutemen are driving up from AZ just to provide a show of force for the mostly older group of brave Americans who will be at this protest. I want to warn you in the strongest terms, from what I saw on that video, this is not for the faint or weak at heart. We are going to be confronted by an angry, arrogant mob, who think they have taken over our country already.

My interest in going this time is to increase our numbers with more young and strong patriots to support the core of brave, older patriots, who are planning to attend this rally. This is not affiliated with the Minuteman Project or the Minuteman Defense Corps. in any way, but we welcome any and all Minutemen & women to join us.

Godspeed.

Link to rally: (deleted)

Below is a message from my Marine Minuteman Friend, Stacey:

I dont know most of you, as I got most of your addresses from Tim Donnelly of www.minutemanparty.com He is an avid Minuteman and writer.

I am writing on behalf of the (deleted) As a resident of Arizona, I never thought I would be inclined to help out those in another state, until now. I think what I am about to describe to you is a cause worth your efforts, and those of any Minuteman alike.

A few weeks ago, organizers from (deleted) held a protest in Baldwin Park, an action against a city funded monument that regards this land as basically part of Mexico (please see the (deleted) website for detailed info on this). The protesters where met with mainly angry, Hispanic, young, masked militia type people that were clearly there to oppose the (deleted) group. Violence erupted as 'Dottie,' a Minutewomen from Aprils Minuteman Project; was hit in the head with a thrown water bottle, sent to the hospital where she remained in ICU for some time. Dottie is a retired citizen. The group from (deleted) stood by to watch as the opposers kicked and tore at American flags, ranted chants about this land being Mexico, that they were taking it back, and that we all need to go back to Europe, among other things that were yelled. The BP police were on scene, but not in the numbers needed to calm the events. In the end, the (deleted) group was walked to the Police Station by the police, until it was safe for them to leave the area. Similar actions by the opposition were noted in Garden Grove and in Las Vegas last weekend.

I am asking that anyone with the will and determination, to show up at the next Baldwin Park event on June 25th. I am coming in from Phoenix, and am hopeful that others from the MMP from various locations will as well. If you will visit the (deleted) site, in the Forum section, they are taking up collections to help defray the travel costs of those MM coming from Arizona. I am hopeful that all will consider this day, its meaning, and make plans to attend, regardless of the collections of monies. We expect that people will go knowing this is a nonviolent protest and to respect those that oppose us in a mannerly way. That being said, self defense is still a right in which no state has taken away...yet.

Hope to see you there. Semper Fi. Stacey O'Connell

they spent all that time sitting on their asses doing nothing.

Didn't they hunt buffalo and pass that pipe around until they "saw" things? What was in those pipes, anyway?

They also killed each other over territory. In fact, there was a Midwestern tribe called Arikara that is now extinct, annihilated by their fellow Indians. There were likely others, but of course, that's "none of our business."

MMP Marines from AZ will be there

http://www.saveourstate.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2255&st=125

My name is Stacey O'Connell, Im a resident of Phoenix Arizona. Im also a Minuteman from April. I also belong to Minuteman Civil Defense Corps out of Tombstone Az. I heard all about the BP and GG episodes, along with reviewing the videos, and Im coming to BP2. I cant believe the bullshit that goes on in LA.

Right now, Ive got a few MM from AZ coming with me, all of us former Marines or Army...we are still young and ready to show our flag in the faces of La Raza, MeCha and any other group that stands to oppose the USA. Personally, Ive written to all the BP city leaders in the disgust of what they call a monument and its radical statements. We are coming to Baldwin Park.

Next thing you folks from California should work on is your gun laws. Open carry in these situations makes up for the lack of law enforcement that was obvious last BP episode.

Semper Fi.
MARINE1

Greeting PRK members. My name is Jim Wade and i hail from Arizona. I'm an April Minuteman (Huachucha line), a member in good standing of the ongoing efforts to secure our borders here in Arizona, a Marine, and a damn proud American. My friend Stacey (Marine1) led me to your site here and i must say well done. Seeing what happened to Dottie pissed me off to no end. I detest gutless people who have to hide their face to protest, and i REALLY hate folks that have to hide and commit acts of violence against a peaceful protest. It will be my honor to show up for the rally in BP on the 25th, and i will be spreading the word to all outlets at my disposal... can't wait to see y'all there... Semper Fi... Jim

"Give it back? Why? The United States bought it from Mexico."

California was won in a war and the Republic of California was established with it capitol in Monterey before it JOINED THE UNITED STATES.

It was never part of the US before that and the US government didn't pay for it.

I have read about the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. It includes the following clause:

In consideration of the extension acquired by the boundaries of the United States, as defined in the fifth Article of the present treaty, the Government of the United States engages to pay to that of the Mexican Republic the sum of fifteen Millions of Dollars.

Immediately after this Treaty shall have been duly ratified by the Government of the Mexican Republic, the sum of three Millions of Dollars shall be paid to the said Government by that of the United States at the city of Mexico, in the gold or silver coin of Mexico. The remaining twelve Millions of Dollars shall be paid at the same place, and in the same coin, in annual instalments of three Millions of Dollars each, together with interest on the same at the rate of six per centum per annum. This interest shall begin to run upon the whole sum of twelve millions, from the day of the ratification of the present treaty by the Mexican Government, and the first of the instalments shall be paid at the expiration of one year from the same day. Together with each annual instalment, as it falls due, the whole interest accruing on such instalment from the beginning shall also be paid.

I don't give a damn what the US gov. did after the fact but California was in no way a part of the US when they drove the mexicans out and formed an independant nation named the Republic of California. It was only a matter of days after the government was formed and seated in the Capitol of Monterey that they JOINED THE UNITED STATES.

California and Texas are the only 2 states that weren't terratory of the US before becoming states of the US.
