BREAKING NEWS! Massive Unrest in Iran following soccer victory - PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS
DoctorZin’s SPECIAL REPORT!
Iran won an important soccer victory that assures they will play for the World Cup.
This has led to massive celebrations and unrest throughout Iran.
The pro-democracy forces in Iran make good use of such celebrations as it is difficult for security forces to manage the massive crowds.
The inability of the security forces to deal effectively with the anti-regime demonstrations only encourages other Iranians to join them.
This is likely to strengthen pro-democracy forces for the battles of the coming weeks.
The mainstream media is again largely ignoring these events.
I believe international reporters in Iran are ignoring these reports because the fear losing their press credentials.
Please spread the word so Iranian bloggers will know that the world is watching!!!Here is a sampling of our reports.
Reuters reported that, Iran Police were on Alert Before World Cup Qualifier Match.We reported that if the regime cracks down on anti-regime demonstrators it risks angering the Iranian people. If the regime does nothing, it encourages people to demonstrate. Either way, this is great news for the Iranian people.
Following the 1-0 victory people throughout Iran took to the streets.
The first reports were via live radio broadcasts:
Radio Sedaye Iran, Hat Tip to the FREEPER persiandissident.
On the PHONE Live, I am transcribing:
· People are dancing in the streets of Iran and screaming "Down with dictatorship."
· It's like a wedding.
· In Tehran traffic completely stopped.
· People are leaving the cars and dancing.
· Tearing up campaign posters....
Karaj....
· People everywhere....
· Laughing, dancing...
· NO ELECTION POSTERS left anywhere ....
· No police, bassji , so people dancing....
· He wants to walk towards the prison....
Announcer:
· The former Shah’s son, Reza Pahlavi, going on a 3 day hunger strike...
· You can hear people on the phone.....
· Cars completely stopped and are walking...
· Burning posters being found...
· People "guns, tanks, no use" screaming against candidates....
· Karrubi, Rafsanjani pictures ablaze....The next reports came from the Student Movement:
Iranians are shouting nationalistic slogans or destroying the advertisements made by regime's candidates for the upcoming sham Presidential elections.
Then the reports came in that the Soccer celebration turned political.
This has led to clashes with the regimes security forces.

They're not the same...the mullahs in Iran only care about staying in power, they're not fanatics.
If there are huge, nationwide, demonstrations the choices will be to wait them out, step down, or take violent action. The thinking is that they won't take violent action because they do have good relations with Europe and Russia and that would ruin them. If they try to wait them out they can, if they keep control of the oil.
I'm imagining a scenario whereby we manipulate the World Cup through bribes, intimidation, "accidents", etc... and engineer a victory for Iran. This would send the pro-democracy forces in Iran into orbit and lead to an overthrow of the current regime.
If I ran the CIA I would do this, for sure.

I heard that the CIA has developed a remote control soccer ball. It is linked to a geosynchronous orbiting satellite and little Billy Smith, age 6, will use his next generation Xbox to make sure that Iran wins the world cup.

True, but their form of government is most similar to those found throughout the middle east. All Middle Eastern (better term then arab) governments (excluding Israel) share similar qualities:
1. They are socialistic
2. They have no freedom of religion
3. They have no separation of church and state
4. They oppress women
5. They create external enemies in order to justify internal tyrannies
6. They are non representative governments
7. They sponsor, directly or indirectly, terrorism
8. No freedom of speech or press
I think the socialistic nature of these countries is one of the most underreported facts the MSM ommits. IMO, the socialist tyranny is what is causing nearly all the problems there.

Can't agree with you on that. They're fanatics by most definitions of the word.
And I'm fairly certain that they'd order crowds fired upon if they thought they were in danger of being overthrown. I hope, though, that it doesn't come to that. The Iranian people have suffered enough.
Is it me or what? I see pictures of what appears to be happy soccer fans. I see no clenched fists or any indication that there is a political riot. As I stated in an earlier post; "Sounds like normal behavior after a soccer win. The same thing goes on in England and Germany. (Not Political) (Barricades, armed rebellion, now thats political.)" Every time I bring up these posts to my Iranian friend he thinks I'm crazy. He's no fan of the present regime. He wants those "arab" mullahs out too.

These reporters are monitored by the regime.
They show celebrations, less often unrest.
The regime bans celebrations after matches. The entire idea of a celebration after a soccer match is against the policies of the regime.
In england and germany they don't shout 'down with blair' and burn his pictures nor do they do that with schroeder in germany.
Just because your friend hasn't heard of them doesn't mean they aren't going on.

I've said it here before, and I'll say it again to the "Iran Bashers". Iran is a wonderful country with wonderful people. They are NOT Arabs; they are Persian. They are also overWHELMingly pro-Western. They have a young population (huge percentage under the age of 25) and they despise the ruling theocracy.
After 9/11.......there were two countries where sympathetic, pro-US demonstrations were held: 1) Israel, 2) Iran...believe it or not.
God bless these people, and I pray they succeed in bloodlessly overthrowing this despicable, 12th century theocracy.
What color is this revolution? May God bless the Iranian students in their struggle for freedom.
