Ronald McDonald, the colorful frontman for the fast food chain, will be slimming down in a new ad campaign that the company says is aimed at promoting a healthier lifestyle."The [new advertising] showcases Ronald getting kids up off the couch and outside, and moving with a variety of cool sports activities, including bike riding, snowboarding and playing basketball," said Elissa Rogovin, account director at Bishoff Communications, the firm that handles McDonald's public relations in Massachusetts.
"To keep up with this active lifestyle, Ronald McDonald went shopping and picked out a whole new wardrobe. These new outfits complement his fun, energetic style," said Rogovin.

They're already doing their part to stop people from overeating.
Their fries are now so terrible they can keep people from finishing the whole serving.
To: Millee
YES, exceedingly creepy. if my kid started emulating Ronald McDonald I'd check under his bed for concealed weaponry.

News Flash comin' in from the coast! Tasty Burgers is offering a SPECIAL SALE! Our investigative reporters were on the scene! Take it away Jim! "Yes, Steve I'm at the Tasty Burger now. These things are DELICIOUS! Back to you!" Well, we may have more film at 11 as we pursue this story. My mouth is watering. On Capitol Hill today, Republicans took as beating as ...

I'm done with McDonalds.
I think the last straw was when I went and got a 1/4 pounder and the box had something like, "I've got a jones for a Quarter Pounder".
And their salad and fruit ads just suck. Can't anyone eat a burger?
And their fries are horrendous.
I'll stick with Checkers and a local chain (I think) called Backyard Burgers.

Anyone else think clowns are creepy??Yes. But this new image for Ronald is even worse. It combines all the inherent clown creepiness of Ronald McDonald with the just plain creepy creepiness of Richard Simmons.

The overweight Ronald McDee is escorted off the McDee Corporate grounds by security and told to stay off the property.

McDonald's food is JUNK and so is their boiling, flesh dissolving coffee. Why remake Ronald to protray an image that can't be attained eating their food?

A despondent Ronald McD was caught sneaking back on the McD corporate campus. The overweight clown was caught by police and arrested.

As the Ronald McD was be escorted off the McD campus, he was shouting, "I'm not fat! Only my feet are fat!"

How funny you mentioned Richard Simmons. I was just thinking about Ronald in some pink and white dolphin shorts with a tank top. LOL
Simmons cracks me up.

That Burger King ad campaign was one of the weirdest ones I ever saw. The
"Breakfast With The King" ad where the guy wakes up and finds the "King" in bed with him, serving him breakfast in bed, is one of the all-time creep out ads I have ever seen. It almost borders on sheer perversion as the "King" smiles and gazes at him as he eats his Burger King breakfast sandwich.

Thanks a lot, now I need some serious therapy to counteract that freakshow they call a commercial. Someone signed off on that idea, it's nuts.
If I woke up with that freak next to me, he'd be ventilated with some 45 cal hydra shocks.
