Hey anyone watching the race? Lets talk here. Moderator, if I screw this up, please erase it.
oops, please dont get too mad that I posted in Breaking news. I didnt know this didnt beling there. Moderator can you fix that?
I thought it was last week.
I'm here. Start talking:')
Nope, it is today! :O)
Miss Targets is pinging everyone, so hopefully we can get something really going.
I'm watching. The announcers are idiots. Wish they had someone on that gave a flip.
Shows ya how much I pay attention to the ponies.
So, what time and on what station?
A look at the horses in the 137th running of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, in order of post position.

I hope Funny Cide wins the Brooklyn.
PS: My beautiful classic wooden racing sailboat is named "Charismatic" -- you can guess why.
It's gonna be muddy
Pinging Saddle club. Pick your winner!
Right now ESPN has some races and Funny Cide is running next. NBC has the Belmont stakes at I believe 4:30 CST
Oh dang, in my haste I forgot about that!!!!
Thanks. I need batteries for my remote and didn't want to get up.
Poor Funny Cide just cant handle the hot weather.
I used to know stuff like this and didn't have to ask, but who won the Derby and the Preakness this year?
He sure didn't have his game face today.
Giacomo won the Derby, and Afleet Alex won the Preakness. They are both running in the Belmont.
Derby -- Giacamo (outta nowhere)
Preakness -- Afleet Alex (who should have run the Derby)
Hopefully, Afleet Alex wins it, I am with you. I missed the Preakness. Any horse that almost falls and goes on to win, is a true Champion in my book.
Make that "won" the Derby.
Ready and waiting!!!
1 1/2 miles!!! Its gonna be fun.
If you want to see the Derby and Preakness go to
and click on the right where it says ESPN Motion.
That's why I love Charismatic - wins the Derby and Preakness and then breaks his leg in the Belmont and still runs 2nd. My kinda horse.
Trainer Tim Ritchey said it provides better access for the media. But there might be another factor: In the spring, several of Roman's horses were diagnosed with the strangles, a respiratory disease, in Florida.

Found it on ESPN!
I think its on ESPN for five more minutes and then its on NBC
Post time is 6:33pm eastern, 3:33pm pacific. :-)
Afleet Alex winning Preakness.
Guess it's not just a poor horse disease huh?
I don't have tv access.
Thanks, that looks better, then what I posted.
Afleet Alex for me!!!!!! But I am worried about the distance. If he does not win, I hope Giacomo wins.
Certainly not. Anywhere you have young horses congregated together, you can have Strangles.
No, not at all.
You working today?
uh oh, well, ESPN should have the race on their MOTION thing after awhile.
Well, I have cleaned my bedroom and washed one load of clothes:')
Just being courteous posting to you and showing a pic. Wonder what Cav's pick is.
I am with you on Giacomo. I normally pick the gray horse.
Alright, Charlsie Canty, finally someone who knows horses.
:O) I dont know where CAV is. I know he was answering my ignorant questions in the Saddle Club thread.
Yea! I like to listen to her.
Found it again, Thanks!
Agreed. I hope that witch, Hillary Clinton, isn't presenting the trophy this year. Remember when she and Bill gave it a couple of years ago -- BARF ALERT!!!
Not picked one yet and looking over the list now. : )
