We were watching "Pulp Fiction" last night. A hitman was hired by several people, including the victim's ex wife (played by Teri Hatcher). After he killed the victim, he was supposed to be killed. However this guy was no dummy, and was wearing a bullet-proof vest. Interesting movie.

Reading this article brought that part of the movie back to me. Remember that at the last minute, Diana's regular driver for some reason could not drive, so Henri Paul took his place. Sacrificial goat, perhaps?

Diana always wore a seat belt, from what I understand. Trust me, anything can be monkeyed with. It is said that she wasn't wearing a seat belt, but did it disengage (fall apart), on impact?

Of course Paul could have been paid off by paparazzi, or could have been involved in drugs, however I don't buy it. Think Vince Foster, etc...

My summer weight Reynolds Wrap seems to be holding up nicely ;-P

Well for 150 years, until Charles married Diana, they had done the right thing by the stud line by marrying more intelligent consorts.

You think Prince Albert of Saxe-Coberg Gotha was intelligent? And how about the other consorts they married into? How bright were they?

I think Princess Diana probably raised the royal Windsor I.Q. by several points at least.

One of the dynasty's earlier stars, George III actually had mental problems and Queen Victoria behaved rather oddly in response to Prince Albert's demise, but that may just have been grief.

It sounds like you're issuing a challenge to a duel or something.

I'm not the only person who looked at the accident, the reaction of the "Royals", the prior treatment of Diana by the "Royals" and Prince Charles, the implications of a marriage with a Muslim, and actual statments made by her before her untimely death and raised the suspicion she was done in by the Windsors.

My impression of Diana was that she was a relatively innocent, naive decent kid when filthy Prince Charlie got his hands on her, that he was screwing around with Camilla Parker-Bowles, a married woman during their marriage, that he has the personality of a dried out pickle and he strongly resented the very genuine charm, real warmth and personality of a beautiful spouse he was very obviously unworthy of.

Anybody who would find Parker-Bowles perferably to Diana needs a serious mental exam - or at least an eye check-up. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but Bowles would require the personality of a Cleopatra to compensate for her equine visage.

However I was not questioning your opinion on the death of Diana, but rather your assertions about the mental capacity of the Queen.

She always struck me as kind of stogy and not too bright.

I haven't done an I.Q. test on her, so I'm just going on what I have read about her.

I do admit, I've seen pictures of her before she married Prince Phillip and in her younger days, she was quite a "fox".
