Did he say he felt starved all the time, or did it not bother him? Did he go on it for some medical reason?
I think he tolerated it fairly well, it did reduce his energy levels. But the last time I saw him he had slipped off the diet. Still slender though. He had no special reason to try the diet, I think the possibility of living 30% longer attracted him.
The #1 cause of untimely death remains Medical Misadventure, and it is distancing itself from #2 which is our government's "food pyramid."

I wasn't saying that you are a woman, and the beer-drinking image you portrayed is certainly not feminine. I was merely pointing out how the death culture has siezed on the word obese to turn reality on it's head.
Both times I quit...I gained weight, but worse!
I spent more time obsessing about smoking than I
had ever spent smoking. I quit quitting, Lost weight,
and feel better with less weight.
