At no point in the history of either the BSA or the British Boy Scouts were they intended to be an exclusively Christian organization. There have always been Hindus, Moslems, Mormons, and other non-Christian religions in the BSA and in the British Scouts.
That may well be, but in this day and age, Christians need to form their own organizations if they want their kids to learn good values like Scouting always did. The way things are going, especially in the UK and soon here, girls can join (can't men and boys EVER do anything by themselves anymore?) and pedophilia will abound with the lessening of rules concerning gays. It's very disturbing.
