6 cars running, 14 are not.
Sure does.
They never should have gone to indianapolis. The race was better at Watkin's Glen (now insifficient for the horsepower/etc. of today's cars); but they would have better served themselves to go someplace like Road America where they HAVE the space and better capability.
varsha is sounding like his typical sh_t-headed self.
Wrong series
Isn't he tiresome?
Delamination.
Tires are rolling onto their sidewallls and failing.
Pump them up to 30 pounds and you`re in deeper trouble.
CART at 4pm guys from Portland. Both beat that pitiful irl 9inferiro racing leauge) who rely on girls for ratings.LOL
yes that is a good point.
People turning off their tvs, fans leaving and not buying concessions, etc...
Uh, this is Formula 1.
Totally different.
$ BACK
The fact is michelin had a full year to prepare tires for this race after having raced here last year.
The FIA rules also stste that each tire manufacturer is to supply 2 sets of tires, one of a sturdier construction than the other. That rule is intended for this exact circumstance, however; michelin failed to supply the more durable set of tires for it's teams.
This is totally michelins fault and you can bet there will be many legal repercussions.
Only 6 cars are racing.
All the other teams surrendered.
The problem with Road America and Watkins Glen is that they require too much work to meet FIA requirements for safety and amenities. No one would invest the dollars to upgrade these tracks and that's a shame. Plus the other knock on RA is that it's too far out in the boonies.
I've got friends there again this year - I can't WAIT for 'em to get back! :)
They see relatives & stuff too, so their trip's not a TOTAL loss, but they've gotta be PISSED. I've been trying their cellphone but not getting an answer yet.
If they DO answer, or call me, I'll do a quickie interview for this thread.
what do you expect from a french company...what station is the race on??
Buy Goodyear.
From your link...
"The option is for teams to run with the existing tyres and follow Michelin instructions to run the tyres at higher pressures than normal. This will affect performance but Michelin believes that the tyres will be safe."
yeah I smell lawsuit...
and CART is just laughing their collective butts off right now I am sure....
