Durbin apologizes for his remarks last week.
developing
nothing follows. :)
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
This should be good.
Happening right now on the Senate floor..
I'm going to need audio... . and then I won't believe that he is sincere...
Is it a real apology?
Or is it a Dem apology? ("I'm sorry if rightwing misrepresentation of my remarks about Chimpy Bushitler's war atrocities hurt anyone....")
Dan
And cried!
Almost.
Did he cry?
Then McCain and Lieberman up to 'congratulate' him for his courage.
He ought to be apologizing to those who put themselves
in harms way caretaking terrorists at Gitmo..
Those who are abused and threatend by these same terrorists daily..
They show saintly restraint while ingrates of the left give
them no credit or thanks..
Ok, now that he as admitted to the grievous statement, CENSURE him or KICK him out now!!! Nothing less will do!!
Lisa was he crying?
Actually, the bit of it that I heard on Fox sounded very much like that.
A REAL apology? Not one of those, "It's your fault you don't understand me" statements?
I didn't get to see his, "Oh, I better do something quick before I get into real trouble apology".
If that's the case, it's another non-apology apology.
it must make the people we are at war with tremble at the sight of how tough are Senators are.
Durbin is still a loud mouth punk.
That won't change.
I am just going to have to start drinking.........and early in the day, too.
I can't handle these traitors!
Okay time to censure him....... Every mistake has it's consequences.....
Yes I believe I would call it that. He didn't break down like Voinovich, but he did tear up when quoting Abe Lincoln to save his sorry behind.
Or, "I am sorry these soldiers are Americans."

Now he's a crybaby loud mouth punk!
Exactly.
What?!! Just got home. Boyfriend says Durbin was crying. Is this true?
Just saw it on Fox... He almost looked contrite.
Just damn! A sniveling wimp.
You are joking - right?
Lott apologized for wishing an old geezer happy birthday and he still lost his leadership position. I don't care if Durbin comes to the Senate floor in sackcloth and ashes, he should no long serve as the Senate Minority Whip. Despite his words of "apology" he should be censured as a warning to anyone else who would engage in such sedition on the Senate floor.
That's about it...
They are only sorry because only uneducated rubes don't believe that the US is a fascist state.
He's still a Dick
Anybody got the 'apology' verbatim?
What a wuss to cry. Looking for liberal sympathy, I'm sure, cause he'll get none from me.
Apology is NOT ENOUGH.
Time for serious discussions of Constitutional procedures regarding treason.
Are you all watching the lovefest for Durbin on CSPAN...up Feinstein.
And his adoring public reacts just the way we know they will:

When dems say they "support the troops" it means they support young healthy men in cute uniforms. There is no other explanation.
Can you imagine if our side said they "supported" radical PETA members, but we didn't support their ideas, their methods, or their leaders. And, to add insult to injury, we believed in mink farms, animal experimentation, and fur coats...
The MSM would tear us to shreds. But when totally illogical comments are made from the left, the MSM gives them a pass.
Yes, I would call it a 'real' apology as far as you can say that for a liberal.
DiFi up now thanking McCain for patting Durbin on the back. "Let's end this now."
This is crazy.
Now Obama up to praise Durbin. Sheesh!
The AP wire story title says emotional. :)
An emotional U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin apologizes for his remarks comparing...

Associated Press
WASHINGTON - An emotional U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin apologizes for his remarks comparing the actions of American interrogators at Guantanamo Bay to Nazis, Soviet gulags and Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot.
No, that is what happened
And he'll always be one no matter what he does.
Not going to happen with Flip Flop Frist in charge...he can't even decide if there will be a new Bolton vote.
Funny thing is though that Fox cut away before the tearing up. I switched to C-SPAN quickly and caught it.
CNN did not cover it either.
I wrote about 20 e-mails to Finestein, telling her if Durbin didn't apologize they would lose even more seats in the senate. No wonder, the idiot apologized!
Senator Boxer just said that nobody has a more distinguished military record than "the senator from Arizona".
Now, I know that Senator McCain served admirably, and suffered greatly, but is his record really that distinguished?
Or is it just that to a Democrat, being a really good prisoner of war is the height of distinguishment for a military person?
Also, I wonder how Senator Kerry feels right now.
I'm listening to this -- it's a democrat lovefest for Durbin. Obama is talking now.
