It makes sense. The Scientologists need new blood.

I know Gens X and Y are criminally ignorant, but you can't call them naive. They're born cynics. I doubt they're as easy sells for this sort of crap as their parents were.

She was brilliant in Lost in Translation.

She and Bill Murray were perfect.

She is a serious actor. No wonder she walked off a Cruise set.

She knows the difference between a serious film and a Malibu pool party/seance.

Please tell me you forgot your sarcasm tag...

LOL! Didn't think it was necessary on that one.

LOL!

Cruise: "What's funny about it?"

Me: Well, it's an overblown egomaniac getting sprayed in the face with water, it has it's charm.

Very weird. Of course, there are more than a few stars that would act the same way.

But added to everything else....it's a bit too much...

I wonder if there is anyone around him that has the guts to tell him he's making a caricature of himself.

Yes! Yes......it all seems so "sudden" and "clustered," if you will.

Even Steven Speilburg issued some kind of statement today saying that the press was fixated on Cruise and not his movie........LOL.

Have to side with Cruise on this one.
I'm surprised he didn't just walk out. "Jerks" was too mild.

As for his attempted "recruitment" of Scarlett the starlet,
that's just bizaare. Very savvy girl for her 19 years.

Here's a video link to the incident.

Actually, I thought tom Cruise handled the thing pretty well. I don't blame him for being PO'd, he behaved far more reasonable than I would. My assumption would have been that the liquid was something worse. TC was composed and restrained in his response.

Can you imagine the outcry if Cruise was promoting evangelical christianity.

The hypocracy of the MSM never ceases to amaze.

I think she fits my definition of "attractive." Course, I'm easy.

I don't know what's up with Tom Cruise, but I would be pretty furious too if some kooks sprayed me in the face with a watergun during an interview.

I think she's quite attractive and she gets some great parts. I liked her in Ghost World and The Man Who Wasn't There.

"Apparently, Scarlett Johansson flunked her test, but Katie Holmes passed."

Who passed and who flunked?

I saw him in England where he was really furious and upset with those guys who through water on him. He looked INSANE when he was talking to them and threatening them.

I mean, he's suppose to be a big star and he was totally losing it over some bottled water!

Did you actually see what happened? It wasn't some "bottled water." There were 4 men who were working for one of those TV "ambush" shows, like "Punked." They were set up to look like they were there at the rope line to get an interview, and he was giving them one. Suddenly, the "microphone" began to spray him in the face with water.

At no time did he threaten them, and in fact when they began to back away to run, having "gotten him," Cruise asked them why they would do such a thing. He did say that the "interviewer" was "a jerk" a few times. But he never got abusive or really even raised his voice. He was civil and never lost his cool.

I'm really not a fan of Tom Cruise, but I am pretty sure that if something like that were to happen to me that I wouldn't have reacted as well as he did. I gained some respect for the guy.

Mark
