Ted Nugent Ordered To Pay Child Support

June 22, 2005 5:18 p.m. EST

Douglas Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter

Dover, NH (AHN) - Rocker/hunter Ted Nugent is ordered to pay child support to a woman he had a brief affair with in 1995.

Nugent will $3,500.00 a month to Karen Gutowski, who is the mother of the now 10-year old boy.

According to the Foster's Daily Democrat Newspaper in New Hampshire, Nugent was originally served with papers regarding the lawsuit while playing a show with ZZ Top at the Meadowbrook Amphitheater.

Gutowski will have sole custodial rights to the child, but no visitation rights for Nugent have been ordered as of yet.

Oddly enough, on Nugent's own website, it states the guitarist was named "Father of The Year". He has been married to his wife, Shemane, since 1989. they have four children together.

good point, but I'm guessing however old the child is there was a DNA test done and confirmed he is the father.

I think it means the child was born in 1995 and the mother and him had sex in 1994.Something like that.

You owe me a new keyboard!

I would say that he must have been in doubt, which is why he whipped it out, and as you can imaging, a free for all must have ensued.

>>And his child does deserve to have the same lifestyle his kids in his marriage do

This is the biggest myth on earth.

If I was a millionaire, I would buy a house for myself and my wife. We would live in it after kids. The worth and value of the house isn't related to kids (when you make that much money that is).

Children would benefit from MY choices on how I spend MY money. IT's not their money. That's the issue, who decides how the money is spent. Rich kids benefit from how their PARENTS decide to spend the money.

No kid needs $3500 a month to live on.

And what if I'm super rich but a tight wad and spend very little? Some judge is going to say I have to pay $3500 a month when I may not even spend taht in a given month?

Get real..

Well, than he is a saint than. No drugs and no booze, wow! I am impressed! To bad he can't keep him D*ck in his pants. I'm sure if I was his wife I'd be having my husband tested for STD's since his only addiction is sleeping with other women.

Apparently she didn't. Ted has had this case going since 2003 and in the late 90s was made aware of the child. I am wondering if he is gonna push for some kind of custody of his son.

This is sad. It's incredibly selfish to birth children in bastardry and give no thought to their lives.

Ted Nugent and his wife have appeared on TV shows and talked about how much in love they are and how to forgive, make a marriage work, etc. Ted acknowledged wild days back in his rock days and way before his marriage.

I don't know if his wife was aware of this affair when they appeared on the TV shows, including Sean Hannity's. This was within the last year.

Regardless, I wish them the best. Ted Nugent is a REAL American with real, true beliefs and from hearing him talk, a Constitutionalist. What's more, he recorded some damn good rock. I hope things go well for him and his marriage. It is rare to have a rock star/Hollyweird/entertainment personality with right thinking beliefs. Ted Nugent is one of a very rare breed.

No, you get real. Yes, children benefit from their parents lifestyle, but why shouldn't this illegitimate child benefir from it as well. SOrry, i think $3500 for Ted is pocket change and I see no problem with that amount. If mend don't want to be paying that much in child support or any high amount I got news for them, don't share your sperm with someone you don't want to have kids with. Otherwise, get used to shoveling out the dollars. That is how that is solved!

If he was responsible for this young boy's birth...then he is responsible to help financially. That is the bottom line. Like him or not. The children cannot suffer cause dad's don't want to pay for their actions.

Well, he should try and get to know this child. If he hasn't up intil now and it is clear he hasn't since no visitation is ordered for him at this time. I think that is sad. Thing is, this child is 10. If he hasn't tried to be involved up till now it really isn't fair to the child for him to file a full visitation suit and go for the max. I think his best route is to slowly get to know this child and involve him with his family. And than maybe over time he can visit more often and feel more confortable with his dad. I would hope that Ted would do this. If he doesn't what a putz!
