Since Dick Durbin has clearly violated the oath he swore upon entering office, why is he still a United States Senator?
To: La Enchiladita
Because, as BJC proved, an oath don't mean squat in the USA anymore.

Well, he probably was actually administered the oath. The fun starts when you start looking into state officials. They're supposed to have a current oath on file and many states also require a bond although they hate that. Try looking up the current oath of the judges in your state and watch the fun begin...

He has an out here....or so he and his colleagues might think. It's the same one Michael Moore used; the same one Hillary used. In Durbin's twisted view, he really IS protecting the U.S. against domestic enemies--our military. They take their socialist vision and stamp "America" on it and then say that they're defending the United States.
To: Das Outsider
I'm sorry. Every post about Durbin should refer to him as Sheikh Durbin. My apologies.
To: MJRitter
Since when did the Constitution dictate the oath of office for any office other than the President?

Lame. How can he oppose our military and "bear true faith and allegiance " to the Constitution at the same time?
As I see it, the oath REQUIRES the remaining Senators to proceed to expel Durbin. But, of course, they've allowed sKerry to languish in that body, also.

As evidenced by the court that is now considering allowing a koran to be used to administer the oath.
To: La Enchiladita
An oath is required by the Constitution; not spelled out. The oath is spelled out in law but not in the Constitution.

But it won't happen. The Pelosis, Boxers, Waxmans, et al in the Democrat camp think what the Sheikh said out loud. The RINOs don't want to rock the boat. So the traitors and seditionaires stay, Constitution be damned.
People don't take oaths seriously anymore, anyways--especially politicians.

United States Senate Oafs in Office
This was the very FIRST thing that popped into my head when I saw that headline.....Has the current state of elected officials made me THAT cynical?

United States Senate Oafs in Office LOL!! If only they were just oafs!
Cynicism is an offshoot of anger, which is completely natural in this shameful circumstance. As long as we don't become too cynical to act and speak against these Durbin creatures.

If adherence to this oath were enforced, it would drive out most of the Senators.
Not a bad idea, eh?

How many Senators could pass that one?

I've uncovered something that Durbin did that I'm sure he NEVER intended for it to be made public. IF the folks from IL play it right, it could sink him! Especially with the black community! I'm going to post it later this afternoon, and I'll ping you to it, if you want.

Since Dick Durbin has clearly violated the oath he swore upon entering office, why is he still a United States Senator? There aren't enough Senators who uphold the oath to do anything about it.
