It wasn't his first USO tour of those two nations: "Last year when I was over there, I didn't feel like it was anything we could ever win. But this year ... four out of five of the Iraqi people would wave at the choppers (that his group flew around in). Iraqis want our great boys and girls over there. I cannot provide a link, but he campained with JZ (you know, the hip-hopper, Beyonce's boyfriend) and I heard them interviewed together and JZ said he wanted Kerry to win and GW to lose and Tim said me too.
He did have some reservations, but apparently he talked to the troops and they helped bring him around. Only wish certain Senators would give our troops actually in the middle of this fight the same respect.
Toby's the old school Democrat. Back when the Majority were Patriots. Stand up guy.

Apart from his obvious support of the troops, it seems to me he has the class not to be a pain in the backside about his political views and that is so admirable because such a quality is so rare for the Hollywood and other entertainment types these days.
He supports the troops. But 95% of his music still sucks.
My friends say the same thing. They think I'm nuts for liking his music. Guess it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.
