Dumb or Dumber?
As a state senator, I doubt he'd typically get much coverage by the MSM. However, given the recent spotlight he was in representing the Schindler family, that may not be the case. State senators are only in the news here if they've been caught DUI.....Lee Constantine.....
An eye for an eye went by the boards 2000 years ago. And, Terry's views go beyond just the abortion debate.
I'd add "opportunistic" to the descriptions others have used fpr him.
Great post. Thanks. Interesting comments.
I was just pointing out that your typical state senator is not in the news, and then I pointed out that if elected, he wouldn't be your typical state senator given the recent publicity he's had. It's really not as news worthy a position as US Senator. If he had said those things previously and not been the Schindler's spokesman I don't think he would get any coverage.
Fred Phelps gets coverage and he's not even in elective office. Nutjobs who've evaded commitment have a way of drawing attention to themselves regardless..
'Mornin' Peach. These quotes give me the shudders. I guess according to Terry, I'm not a good Christian...
I am glad this is nowhere near my district.
Me too.
Me too.
Too bad Mr Boortz cannot conduct himself professionally, when he writes. I doubt rational Republicans are going to sanction someone as on the fringe as Randall Terry. No need for Mr Boortz to use such venom in a headline.
Go Neal Go! He's currently talking about him right now on his radio show. He's spot on.
That's ludicrous and you know it. He is just sick of lawmakers trying to legislate thier religion on the rest of us. And that is exactly what Randall Terry will do if elected. That is also why I have serious reservations about Ralph Reed running for Lt. Governor in Georgia.
He's used a lot of good terms to describe him this morning. Premium Scum Bag, Bottom-feeder, Lunatic, all of which Randall Terry deserves, I'm sure if there was no FCC the descriptions would be even more "choice".
neal bore-tz is the guy who proudly announces on his show that he buys new underwear everyday, wears it, washes it, and gives it to charity.
neal and hillary.
Seems like that would get kinda expensive. When the used underwear in our house gets used enough, it gets cut up to use for gun cleaning patches. After a last thorough washing, of course.
He sounds a white Al Sharpton to me. In it for the fame and/or money. Or maybe he really is just sick.
God is in control irrespective of Randall Terry or anyone else. Calvinists, a category that includes advocates of the Reconstructionist/thenomist political philosophy to which Terry subscribes, believe in the sovereignty of God. The Christians who founded this nation, many of whom were Calvinists, generally believed that the civil statutes listed in the Pentateuch were applicable only to Old Testament Israel and not to nations in the church age. A majority of the Founding Fathers were professed Christians, and many of these Christians were Calvinists, such as the Congregationalists of New England, the Dutch Reformed of New York and New Jersey, and the Presbyterians of Pennsylvania and the upland South, along with many low church Anglicans like Patrick Henry. Nevertheless, the founding documents of this nation did not establish a theocracy, but rather called for the state not to interfere with religious matters.
Terry and his fellow Reconstructionists/theonomists are in error respective to the founding principles of the American republic. However, they are far from a major threat to this nation or even the conservative movement. The RINOs and other politicians who mouth conservative cliches at election time and vote like Democrats in the legislature and Congress are far more dangerous.
