No, Christ preached against religious hypocrites and people who practiced a dead form of religion. He did not preach against religion. In fact he established rules of religious conduct, called church officers and set up a religious heirarchy to take over upon his ascension.

No, Christ preached against religious hypocrites and people who practiced a dead form of religion. You miss my point. I didn't say "Chist opposed ALL religious people." I should have said that he opposed "some religious people." Being a "religious hypocrite", or a jihadist, or a witch, etc. is still being religious.
That these people call themselves "religious" means NOTHING to me. Calling one's self a "Christian" sets some basic standards for behavior and ethic. Calling one's self "religious" implies nothing!

As Christians, we are all called to follow Jesus' commandment to "Love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12) Jesus welcomed women, tax collectors, Pharisees, and lepers at his table. His behavior indicted those who inflicted hurt on others as they piously honored the purity codes of his day. Following Jesus' example, we declare that using the popular "purity codes" of today, such as sexual orientation, to ostracize and marginalize people is immoral.I'm not all that well versed on these sort of things, but my understanding was that Jesus welcomed all as they could join him. This was foreign to Jews at the time. However, he would also welcome them and through his grace find salvaton. But once having done so, he would instruct them to go and sin no more. Not just come to my table, do what you want, ignore what I say, because I love you everything is AOK. Once you love me, you will not want to sin anymore, not spit in the face of my father and his laws.

We believe that Jesus would recognize the inherent hypocrisy in decreasing support for family planning or reducing access to contraception while simultaneously seeking to criminalize abortion.Even if there's a contradiction (which there isn't), He wouldn't use that as an excuse to allow murdering babies by abortion. These people will answer before Him for their disgusting blasphemy in suggesting otherwise.
Such actions deny women and men access to basic help and information on family planning while, at the same time, forcing them to bear children.
Unless they were forced to have sex, they can't have been forced to bear children.

Know your rights
(The modern enlightened liberal doesn't care what you believe as long as you don't really believe it.)
