Supreme Court backs eminent domain
The Washington Times ^ | June 24, 2005 | Guy Taylor

The Supreme Court yesterday said cities can seize people's homes or businesses to make way for private commercial development such as shopping malls, a far-reaching ruling decried by property rights advocates.

By a 5-4 vote, the justices for the first time said governments can take private property and give it to developers citing eminent domain, a practice historically used for public highway projects.

What the 19 murderers failed to do on 911, the 5 liberals on the Supreme Court have succeeded.

Why, the GOP, of course,IIRC, except for Ginsburg, a Clinton appointee. Along those lines, check this out. Read the last sentence in the article. They're just begging for a new party to the right of the GOP! The destruction of the Dems is in high gear, and it's time for free thinkers to unite.

I see this more and more every day. There is a core of America haters in our elected government. Most of these individuals are found across the aisle, however, there are wolves in Republican sheep's clothing sneaking around the halls of Washington. We either wake up and find some true grit now or it's all over except for the....., I hate to imagine.

Wouldn't you think that every living soul in United States of America would be a "property rights advocate"?

Our only hope is that the MSM picks this up and runs with it. The streets across our great nation SHOULD be filled with protestors by noon today, but unfortunately most will just stay home and complain to their spouses. What a sad day for America.

Let's not forget FL State Senator Mike Bennett-RINO, who sponsored SB-2548 Relating to Land Development in 2004 to accomplish this very goal.

It caught Neil Boortz attention--who wrote a scathing piece about it April 27, 2004. FLORIDA LEGISLATIVE OUTRAGE (scroll down page)

"Supreme Court Backs Eminent Domain"

Bad headline. Should read "Supreme Court Vastly Expands Eminent Domain".

Doubtful that the MSM will pick up on this... After all its was the liberals on the SCOTUS that made this ruling.

MSM if it mentions it at all will mention Kennedy loudly and quietly mention the other liberal SJs.

So far on Fox News they have not mentioned anything regarding this ruling only the missing girl and other crap. I thought they might be all over this... BUT NO!
Been listing to them since 6:00am.... Nothing.

Yep, Boortz has been consistently loud on this issue for some years now. Similar to Savage on immigration. Now that the damage is done, everyone is paying attention.

It's infuriating.

Our properties always were subject to confiscation: 1. if we didn't pay our property taxes, 2. if we were subject to emminent doman issues.

Bad headline. Should read "Supreme Court Vastly Expands Eminent Domain".

As a result of the Supreme Court ruling I would have thought the headline would read; "Supreme Court ignores Constitution".

Thankfully the Constitution was written in clear concise English grammar. It does not take a law degree or a high position in government to understand the words in the 5th amendment. nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

In order to comply with the 5th amendment the Supreme Court changed the English language definition of the words "private" and "public" to suit their agenda. Have you ever read Animal Farm?

Robber Barron Mike Bennett, RINO (who also voted for Terri's death). Please remind us when MIke Bennett runs for re-election and we'll help you remind the good people not to vote for him.

What I hate about RINOS is that they are building an elite class and the middle class is getting stepped on along the way.

I can't recall the last of this url but worth visiting. www.propertyrightsresearch.?.
