This 4th of July weekend buy USA products ONLY

Posted on 06/27/2005 7:40:45 AM PDT by Sun

I bet you can do it for those three days at least.

Let's show the manufacturers what we can do if we want to. Let's send them a message that we want USA products and jobs in the USA.

Let's hear it for independence on Independence Day.

Shouldn't we be doing that all the time? I prefer the american made products over anything else for many reasons.

Interesting list:

Footwear
New Balance

Not according to my shoes.

If I buy a US made Toyota or Honda over the weekend, does that count?

Yes, we should, but some folks don't, so I'm hoping to reach them on this Patriotic weekend.

I have to say that some of the brands listed -- I've never heard of. Wonder how many are actually available in my neck of the woods.

Still, it's good to have a list. One of the problems I've always had is that sometimes Made in the U.S.A. on some products is not actually correct. I guess there is some broad interpretation of that term in some quarters. Sometimes the items are made in the U.S., but of materials from overseas. Or some are made from U.S. materials, but are actually manufactured overseas. And there have been more than a few manufacturers who have lied about where their products are made.

But anyway, thanks for the post.

All the American flags, and red, white and blue accessories are all made in China, sold at Dollar Stores.

Some of the manufacturers on the list make BOTH USA products and foreign products.

No, I was being sarcastic. I don't think there are any USA brands of common fireworks, excluding the custom big show stuff......

I don't like unions (because they contribute to libs), but I like the USA!! and like China less than unions.

Sometimes it's easier to get USA products if you order by mail.
