JihadTV to make documentary on US border

Here’s some news that will make you feel really safe; Al Jazeera is producing a documentary on the shabby state of American border security: Al-Jazeera to look at open U.S. border. (Hat tip: RJ_in_Reno.)

The Arab TV news network criticized by the new Iraqi government and others for its anti-American bias and willingness to carry the messages of terrorist organizations, including al-Qaida, is headed for the U.S.-Mexico border to document how easy it is to enter America illegally.

Al-Jazeera has contacted Minuteman Civil Defense Corps leader Chris Simcox to try to arrange interviews. Simcox, who rejected the request for cooperation with the TV network, says al-Jazeera, seen by millions throughout the Arab world and elsewhere, is producing an hour-long documentary news special on lack of security at the U.S. southern border.

Al-Jazeera reporter Naisser Hssaini mentioned the increase in apprehensions of illegal aliens known as OTMs – other than Mexicans. These foreigners increasingly include Arabs, Muslims and others from the Middle East. The reporter also mentioned his familiarity with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement police of catching and releasing OTMS – particularly those not specifically known to be on any terrorist watch list.

“The group has been denied requests for interviews by Minuteman Civil Defense Corps organizers but they still insist on filming the groups’ activities along with the rest of the media during a July 4th weekend mission near Arivaca, Arizona,” said Simcox.

Simcox has contacted the offices of Arizona’s two Republican U.S. senators – John McCain and Jon Kyl – to invite them to do interviews with al Jazeera, “so perhaps they can explain to the viewers of this news outlet just how secure America’s borders really are.” Sunday, June 26, 2005

If this isn't a wake-up call, I don't know what is.

As much as I hate to say it, there will be impeachment hearings if there is another terrorist attack and the terrorists entered the country illegally.

Find out where they're going to try to film. Let's meet 'em with numbers and ordinance. We'll confiscate their video equipment and make our own documentary.

Ha ha hah...

They've got it down pat bud. They'll claim that nobody could have forseen this. "It's just so ghastly!"

If 09/11 didn't teach us that, it taught us nothing.

This isn't a slam against the current administration with regard to 09/11. It is a severe slam against our intel agencies and their absolute declination to protect us againt a very plausible, easy to forsee scenario.

Could be that or they could be on a scouting mission, on behalf of their target audience.

Here at FR and a host of of other places we've been
discussing this obvious national security breach for
months. The Islamofascists of course see our totally
out-of-control borders. One person who is still snoring at the switch is George Bush. Perhaps he thinks AlQaeda
will do work Americans won't do. He may be tragically right on that point.

Please, let us not forget the recent words from the Honorable Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas)......

"U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) today urged the civilian "Minuteman" border patrol organization not to begin operation along the Texas-Mexico border in October as planned, expressing concern that the group's activities could do more harm than good."

"I would hope that everybody who is concerned about the porous nature of our borders would allow the federal government to act,"

I'm not ready to put all of the blame on GWB, either.

Not with support like that. From a border state, no less.

Amazing.

I don't have any problem with how the Bush admin with respect to 9/11. But I have a major problem with how they are handling the border. That open border is a magnet for terrorists, and the "open borders elite" and liberal apologists are enabling terrorism.

The wise words of Michelle Malkin: "Political correctness is the handmaiden of terrorism. By smearing the overwhelming majority of Americans who support real borders as racists and xenophobes, the open borders lobby obscures its deadly agenda: sabotaging our existing immigration laws and blocking any new efforts to punish those who abuse the system."

In other words, an open, unsecured border makes al Qaeda's job much easier.

Good, maybe we can get them to send a copy to ALL government agencies and bodies.

They won't take Americans seriously [i.e., Minute Men] so maybe they'll take notice when the Murderous Minions of Mad Mo (piss be upon his head), start openly talking about it.

FYI, al-jazeera is now broadcasting live, free, over the internet.

click on qatar

I find this strange because a few months ago there was about 7 live free TV Arabic stations, but no AJ, now it's ONLY AJ in Arabic.

I slam Bush up one side and down the other on the border issue. I just didn't want to tag him with 09/11 just eight months after he took office. Fair is fair.
