If the objection is to behavior (e.g., male-male sex), rather than orientation, then what's the problem with a singing act? Unless they're having sex on stage, that is...

They are identifying themselves by reference to their sexual behavior. If it was just a choir with some "gay" men in it (and there are THOUSANDS of such choirs), nobody would have a problem.

THEY are the ones who took the focus off of the music and put it on their sexual proclivities, not the protestors.
