Remember that demonstration at the Huachuca main gate a few months ago? I was hoping that the bikers would boil out of the Sorry Gulch and bust some hippie heads. Nah, on second thought, that would have given the clowns the excuse to wave the bloody shirt.

Well in Preparation for the Nex one we need to start collecting children's Halloween Machetes, Black Ski masks, Yassar Arafat head scarves, black leather gloves, plastic AK-47s, black fatigues and a manikin in an orange jump suit with no head. Then have a BIG sign that says "We, the Progressive Revolution Party Support You!" and all of it right across the street from the dweebs. Don't think they'd like the satire.

Yep, the satire would be lost on them, but it's a great idea. They would get angry at us, and start beating us with their purses. The guys would, anyway. The women would just stand around stroking their beards.

I'm just curious if they got a take order from backyard burgers.

Just picking a nit, but isn't Fort Hood the largest military base in the US, if not the free world?

The 20 or so people milling around the Quaker House were former soldiers, parents and grandparents. Wow...about seven of each group...I can get more excitement at my house for any Florida State game.

You would be correct. Fort Hood has two active Army divisions, as well as the assorted assigned support units (and if you're looking for physical area) over 339 square miles. And technically, one of the bases in Russia (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) is the largest base in the free world now. I certainly wouldn't argue from that standpoint though.

I should have known that the dweebs would be out whining while W was speaking on post. I don't think the tv news showed much of them. The attention was on W's speech. I checked the pictures in the paper and didn't see one of our former city councilpersons among the whiners. I wonder where she was? I'm just glad that they didn't get much coverage by the news media (at least that I saw).
